Kymela (kymelatejasi) | 674 comments We must have been an odd bunch. We never played Rugrats, but anything we did play, we made up our own characters to add to the story instead of playing as any already there...

So anybody still awake? Got nothing to do...i guess i could write but i have a case of writers block and procrastination i need to get checked out hehe :D

message 403: by [deleted user] (new)

Al wrote: "I have WB right now. Hard to shake off."

I know it is. I was writing for awhile to. I really want to write but i don't lol :P

message 404: by [deleted user] (new)

Maybe it's an epidemic ;)

message 405: by [deleted user] (new)

hopefully it don't stick. getting tired of it.

message 406: by [deleted user] (new)

what do u write?

message 407: by [deleted user] (new)

thats cool! i write songs, poetry and books. my books r YA romance and chick-lit though big difference. :)

message 408: by [deleted user] (new)

YES! i love writing. its my source of comfort and a way to express our thoughts. my favorite part is making a character, i can make a girl i wish i could be or a the perfect guy hehe. its my favorite thing to do.

message 409: by [deleted user] (new)

I have a hard time with dialogue sometimes. and i think that i tend to over explain things if u know what i mean.

message 410: by [deleted user] (new)

Sometimes it's hard to know what someone might say, even if its ur character. lol its weird. I kinda was hoping putting my books on here i would get other peoples opinions but nobodies read my stuff yet :/

message 411: by [deleted user] (new)

hey Al don't forget to review my stuff :D

message 412: by [deleted user] (new)

thanks lol i didn't want to be to pushy but u did tell me to remind u! :P so what stuff (with writing) r u guys working on right now?

message 413: by [deleted user] (new)

Thanks! yeah i definitely TRY to approve but i don't do poetry much more into songs and my books. but some things i write i just want them to simply be a poem. Most the time when im depressed i write poems so there the more depressing ones. if u have any tips on improving them tell me!

lol i know what u mean i can't seem to write right now. -_- hehe bugs me to death cus i got like three story lines i want to expand on but i just can't make myself sit down and write.

message 414: by [deleted user] (new)

I'll try that. i have tendency to start things and then get bored and stop :D its terrible lol

message 415: by [deleted user] (new)

lol yes i hate it when good things end. i'm trying to rewrite my Dear Abby cus it needs alot of work. the version i put on here really sucks but i guess it gets the point of the story across.

Violent Vi (violetk) | 133 comments U know at this group needs? Some effing role play

message 425: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments This group needs stricter rules.

message 426: by M (last edited Mar 26, 2012 06:38AM) (new)

M | 11617 comments Morning, Alex!

I don’t like rules, and normally I would be the last person to suggest them. It doesn’t seem to me that a writers’ group should exist to be an online childcare with a membership many of whom need to take remedial English. There are plenty of groups for people who are online simply to play or to have a social life or whose literacy doesn’t seem to extend much beyond text messaging. I don’t mean that the group shouldn’t offer a social life of sorts--that’s one of the more delightful things about it--but that it should be a group for people who are serious about writing. Now that it’s a private group, I think we should screen any member who looks as though he’s here just to make a nuisance of himself.

message 427: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments So, basic punctuation and spelling are what you're after, M?

Oh, hey y'all. Long time ... et cetera.

message 428: by M (last edited Mar 26, 2012 06:42AM) (new)

M | 11617 comments Hi, Edward! Let’s not be too hasty, now. I don’t want to post any rules that will make me have to kick myself out.

message 429: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments Hahaha. Makes sense though.

message 430: by Edward (last edited Mar 26, 2012 06:53AM) (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments I had to kick myself out of something before. I had to take a few weeks of yoga before I could do it successfully, though.

Way off subject, but worth noting, my not-quite-one brother just tried a grape. He not only made a face of pure bliss, but literally danced a little jig.

How about attempts at basic punctuation and spelling?

Here's a little slide show I use to put in my signature on the strange website Gaiaonline:

"I am anti 'txt tlk.'
I support good grammar.
I am part of the Save the Vowels movement.
For your sanity and mine ...
Type out your damn words.
Thank you."

message 431: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments ROFl. That. Is. Brilliant. I love it, Edward.

message 432: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments I agree with Stephanie.

message 433: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments Thanks y'a- "If you do not follow these rules I WILL kick you." "Kick you?" Not "kick you out?"

message 434: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments Oh, and I didn't make the slide show. It was a not-nearly-popular-enough thing passing around. The consensus on Gaiaonline was that "txt tlk" was a perfectly acceptable method of communication when one has nearly unlimited space to type.

message 435: by M (last edited Mar 26, 2012 12:21PM) (new)

M | 11617 comments Wow! I just saw the pink box. It isn't that I'm crusading for Standard English in conversational threads or even in stories. I just don't think we should put up with incivility or what seems uncouth. Gratefully, in the W.S.S. we haven't seen much of that so far.

message 436: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments Ne bootez pas!

message 437: by M (last edited Mar 26, 2012 12:22PM) (new)

M | 11617 comments I think the rules look great! Don't change a thing.

message 438: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments Then I sent you something on Facebook that I would like your opinion on.

My teachers wouldn't allow me to have my computer out at all. I could probably get away with in Architecture, but then I don't want to get away with it. Deciphering the professor's accent takes all my attention.

message 439: by [deleted user] (new)

I wanna write a new song, but i don't know what to write about! -_-

message 440: by [deleted user] (new)

*ahem* i wasn't laughing i swear. XD
yeah the last song i wrote was called Look At You (Look At Me), about a dad and his daughter. and his drinking problem and how it affects their life.

message 441: by [deleted user] (new)

hahaha i'd love to read it! ;) i promised i won't make fun of it! or i'll try my best not to. hehe

Whoa. how should i take that? :)

message 442: by [deleted user] (new)

LOL now i REALLY wanna see it :P

I'm not sure if it's any good. or is descriptive enough of the drinking thing.

LOL I didn't start laughing till I read this! XD

Hi, guys. Haven't written anything in a while. I don't know when I'll be able to write much again. I think I'd prefer if someone critiqued my stories so I can edit them...I really want to continue a couplle of those, particulary Maria and the untitled one...

Why do I keep seeing red lines--oh yeah...I left my French dictionary on...XD

M | 11617 comments What kind of character did you pick for D&D?

message 446: by Kymela (new)

Kymela (kymelatejasi) | 674 comments For one game I am a Wilden Paladin and in the other I'm a Gnome Warden and Eladrin Swordmage-Warlock hybrid. I'm really good at being a tank and a pact-maker. XD

message 447: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments I was a magic user. I could make a fireball. The first thing I did with it was blow up a fireworks factory.

message 448: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments I finally managed to play my own character: I'm a halfling ardent. My powers are built around the idea of psychicly encouraging my allies to fight, to imbue them with the thrill of the battle. Occassionally, I also increase the fear within my enemies, destroying their will to fight.

Plus, I'm a halfling. They're always fun.

Another player is playing my twin brother, although he's a wizard. We do the sibling banter a little too easily.

message 449: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments So ... anyone excited for the Avengers movie?

message 450: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (chasmofbooks) | 2875 comments YES! I saw the preview again yesterday when I was watching The Hunger Games. And my friends and I agreed that it looked amazing.
