C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4483 comments Lol. I almost took you seriously in post #2058.

I am sure now if I see a few more vids of Tobuscus I will like him. I have WAY too many people I am subscribed to right now I am losing track. And I am also beginning to dislike some of them... including one so popular I don't want to admit I like him less now.

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4483 comments I am so fed up that I don't finish books! I feel strangely guilty when I can't get all the way through them (and I think too much about the yearly "book challenge" this site uses).

That was the old CJ. The one who would take forever reading books. I must continue on and finish them (plus getting through books and reading constantly makes people better writers).

message 1654: by Caitlan (new)

Caitlan (lionesserampant) | 2869 comments Don't be afraid to denounce someone popular. Here. I'll do it. I don't like Pewdiepie very much. He uses foul language, and I personally don't find him as amusing at I find Tobuscus or Felicia Day.

message 1655: by Kymela (new)

Kymela (kymelatejasi) | 674 comments I dislike a lot of popular people and everyone knows it (when those people are brought up).

I love Felicia Day! I need to watch that fantasy story she was in recently on youtube. She's got a good voice. I liked her as Penny in Dr. Horrible.

There we go. He was just the person I was thinking of in the earlier post.

message 1657: by Caitlan (new)

Caitlan (lionesserampant) | 2869 comments Saira, did you know that Felicia Day has guest starred on Supernatural three times? She was also in an episode of Lie to Me, and she helps run the YouTube channel Geek&Sundry.

CJ, that's really funny.

message 1658: by Kymela (new)

Kymela (kymelatejasi) | 674 comments I didn't, but I also don't watch Supernatural anymore, never finished Lie to Me, and don't do much on youtube. There was something I saw recently that she guest starred in, but I can't remember what it was. I should go finish Lie to Me...

message 1659: by Caitlan (new)

Caitlan (lionesserampant) | 2869 comments Where did you get in Lie to Me?

message 1660: by Zack (new)

Zack Happy Mothers
Day to all the moms aboard the WSS!

message 1661: by Kymela (new)

Kymela (kymelatejasi) | 674 comments I don't remember.

message 1662: by Caitlan (new)

Caitlan (lionesserampant) | 2869 comments Okay. Well, the episode she is in is Season 2, Episode 10 :D

message 1663: by Kymela (new)

Kymela (kymelatejasi) | 674 comments Oh no! I can't find one of my best stories! I wrote it for the topic 'London fog' but never finished it. Now it's gone missing and I can't finish. This is really upsetting.

message 1664: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments :-(
Good luck. It will turn up, eventually. Unfortunately, it will be in the last place you look.

message 1665: by Caitlan (new)

Caitlan (lionesserampant) | 2869 comments I'm sorry! Hopefully you'll find it, like Guy says.

That's frustrating. I actually have an unfinished novel inside of another computer. If you have it written down you should try to remember the places you usually keep it. Then hopefully it will turn up...

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4483 comments You know what is really annoying me lately about Goodreads? Non-stop threads on books that only want to discuss the "movie" version. Now I admit I started at least one thread that is about that but I think if these are the only topics people will want to talk about people should just start chucking books out the window. People should just discuss aspects within the film that are like the book or something but so many people are saying "The movie was so cool! Lights! It was shiny!" with no real explanation. Lol.

message 1668: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments To be fair - shiny!

*clears throat* One reason I haven't reviewed the Hobbit movie yet is because I'm trying to re-read the part of the book the movie covered, since its relation to original work should matter some. For instance, while the Lord of the Rings movies could reasonably exclude Tom Bombadil (no matter how terrible that is) for pacing reasons, but derailing Faramir's character was just bad form. So the book should always be relevant, even when talking about the movie.

Hm. Maybe not always; I tend to ignore the Walking Dead comic book.

message 1669: by Caitlan (new)

Caitlan (lionesserampant) | 2869 comments XD Edward.

Tried that. I've looked everywhere I leave my stories and I still can't find it. I bet Edward still has it.

message 1677: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments *ignoring that*

Watching claymation always make me think that I'm a lazy and impatient person - because there is no way I'd pull that off.

message 1678: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments LoL! Yes. That's like saying because you can't walk as slow as a snail you aren't trying hard enough. Edward, you would appear to be funny.

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments Hello, M! It's great to see you again. I've been trying to catch up on all the threads... I see you've all been incredibly busy.

message 1684: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments We have a lot of new members! This has been a great week for stories and poems.

message 1685: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments Oh, hey, Kyra. Ky...ra ... Ky...ra ... Ky...ra. Right. Got it. Human emotions rebooting and ...

Welcome back, Kyra!

I haven't been around much either, and just in the discussion threads rather than the contests (which, I believe, is the actual original purpose for the group).

message 1686: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments LOL!!! It seems that's all I've been doing, too, in the little time I've had here. I'm trawling back through the old contests I missed, though... you guys have written some breathtaking stories.

message 1687: by Edward (new)

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments I'm writing a nice and complex story, with a mulit-layered plot, a faux trap, high school drama as backdrop for a supernatural horror, a non-corporeal antagonist, a shadowy organization, and is almost entirely psychological. Unfortunately, I can't post it because of the spoilers it has for Demon of Decay.

Also, my brain hurts.

message 1688: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments Oooh, that sounds amazing already!!! Well, when you're done, I'd love to read it.
After Demons of Decay, of course. XD

message 1689: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Hello Kyra and welcome back. Sounds like school was fun and kept you busy.

message 1690: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1221 comments School has definitely kept me busy. I just took the HE, though, so now I have nothing else to do that's school-related, other than show up for the last eight days.

message 1691: by Kymela (new)

Kymela (kymelatejasi) | 674 comments Hi Kyra. School and work ate up a lot of my time, too. XP If you happen to come across one of my stories starring Emrys and Ludivine set during Jack-the-Ripper's time while looking around here, could you let me know! I don't think I had a digital copy, but I'm desperate and will look anywhere now! It was meant for 'London Fog,' but I never finished it.

message 1693: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Thank you for asking Edward. I thought maybe this was American code a Canadian wouldn't be privy to.

Edward (edwardtheresejr) | 2434 comments I think it's an American public schooler code, because I'm clueless. (Note: Being clueless about anything except your own cluelessness can be quite enjoyable.) Off the top of my head, Highschool Exam? Probably Exam, at least ...

message 1695: by Zack (new)

Zack I had just forgotten about that. Thanks for reminding me. Now I'm going to have The punishment fits the crime repeating over and over in my dreams tonight. Welcome back Al!

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4483 comments I kinda wish I had that song stuck in my head. I saw with a friend a little behind-the-scenes recording and explaining of a song. It made me really sad. The channel was trying to raise support for cancer.

HE is short for the High School Exit Exam. I guess that means it should be HSEE, but for some reason it's not. XD
I'm taking advanced math classes, so they make you pass a final exam for course credit. Otherwise, you take it again in high school.

*random*

I'm currently reading The Divine Invasion by PK Dick and I couldn't help but be stunned. It was written 31 years ago but if I didn't know that, I might think that he only wrote it recently (assuming that he's still alive). Were there any writers like him in his time? He's a genius :)

message 1700: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4483 comments Hmm I wish I got into Philip K. Dick as I am only familiar with his movies that were adapted from his works. A different book I know that is ahead of his time is Ray Bradbury "Fahrenheit 451." That book blew me and my other classmates' minds when we read in high school.
