Go see the water show at the Bellagio, If you like M&Ms go to M&M World, The Tropicana is pretty much the cheapest hotel just off the Strip, the Hilton has a Star Wars podracer game if you're interested (or at least they used to), there's a really interesting hallway between the MGM and another hotel - I think the Excalibur - tha used to have a magic shop we used to love. Edward and I were always too young for much else, so that's all I can really give you.

If you have the time and means and you like chili, go to Barstow, CA and see if the burger and dog place is still there. It's been so long I can't remember the name, but we'd stop there on our trips across the country whenever we could. I hated that we went by too late the last time through. XP

I've been many times - four or five at least - and have been sick every single time.

Three times: Marine Corps Ball, forgot, and when we moved from Cali to Chicago. And yes, he was sick every time. Oh, and that hallway between the MGM and Excalibur is more like a tunnel. If I remember correctly, it goes underground.

Oh yeah! And one of the hotels has a rollercoaster, but it's like $12 per person and the Strato-something has rides all the way at the top.

Well, I have a fear of heights as well as fear of rollercoasters, so I won't be doing those :D I like ground rides best.

That is sad you got sick every time, from eating something? Or did you catch something while there?

I am going to hate my English classmates. They said my paper was good, but you can tell the end is rushed. I hate it when people can't give you a good review.

I just got admitted into the Honors Program at the college I'm going to attend in the fall!

For some reason I was nominated for entry into our honour society with a 2.5 GPA. I wonder if my Conter-Terrorism teacher had anything to do with that...

Apparently I was admitted purely on my academic record, which was really cool. I wasn't expecting it at all.

Unfair Treatment of Skateboarders
In “Half-Criminals” or Urban Athletes? A Plea for Fair Treatment of Skateboarders, David Langley explains how skateboarders are treated in the cities. He begins with an example of how he and two of his friends were wrongfully frisked by a police officer after performing a trick on his skateboard. “We have been forced out of known skate spots in the city by storeowners and police, kicked out of every parking garage in downtown, compelled to skate at strange times of day and night, and herded into crowded skateboard parks,” says Langley. (150) He explains that this seems to be due to people’s ideas of who skaters are – they are delinquents who like to ride on boards and tag walls with spray paint like gangsters. The laws in the city are unclear and open to abuse by the police. An officer in Seattle even admitted to the possibility of arresting a skater even when the skater was legally skating. He goes to explain how cities have tried to help accommodate skaters by building parks, but in vain as these parks are often more dangerous than a normal city street. He pleads that there are ways things could change if skaters were to be treated fairly instead of as criminals and allowed to design the parks or continue to clean the city streets and sidewalks to keep them safe for skaters. “Because skaters need smooth surfaces and because any small object of litter can lead to painful accidents, skaters actually keep the environment cleaner than the average citizen does.” (151) Skaters will always be around just like any other athlete and they should be treated as such.

Thanks, M. I have no idea what classes I'm going to take but it's just nice to know that I'm doing that well in school. I got the non-resident scholarship too so that was awesome.

Oh, yes, non-resident scholarships help a whole lot. Good for you. Our school tried to charge us out-of-state tuition last year even though we had always paid taxes in Virginia! It was like three times as much as in-state! (And it's also unlawful to charge military out-of-state when they lived in an adjecent state for at lest one year.) Use that money wisely. You'll never now when you'll really need it. ;) What school are you going to?

But you're going to be so close! XD Whether you are Catholic or not I suggest looking inside some of the churches, especially Saint John Cantius. Actually look in some of the other fancy churches. They are beautiful. I miss picking out all the churches on the way down. :D

I plan on getting a government recommendation to the Defense Language Institute at Monterey Bay.

Defense Language Institute?

[Kymela]

A school used by the military and other government areas to train people in languages and cultures that are needed. They have Pashto, Dari, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, German and a few other languages I can't remember. I have to pass the DLAB first...

Oh that's really cool. What language do you want to take?

I don't know, there are so many to choose from! XD I prefer ones that are harder to get resources for like the Celtic languages, Native American languages, Hungarian, Estonian, things like that.


Bloody hell! Our 2 year-old brother just found his way from the digital copy of Pooh to Donkey's Christmas short on Netflix on the ipad! He is really smart.

My favourites are Scottish, Welsh, Hungarian, Inuktitut, Aymara, Estonian, Swahili and Hebrew. And I love scripts. Mostly curly, rounded, cursive ones.
