FlibBityFLooB Stray (Shifters, #1) by Rachel Vincent Rogue (Shifters, #2) by Rachel Vincent Pride (Shifters, #3) by Rachel Vincent Prey (Shifters, #4) by Rachel Vincent Shift (Shifters, #5) by Rachel Vincent Alpha (Shifters, #6) by Rachel Vincent

Do you like the ultra-agressive Marc or the playful/flirty Jace?

Aimee (facere323) | 36 comments EEK! I can't decide. Part of me wants to say Marc. But he's so darn broody. And part of me loves Jace, but I don't think that Marc would ever let that happen. Even if Faythe weren't with him. He'd prbably kill Jace before he'd let him have her.

message 3: by FlibBityFLooB (new)

FlibBityFLooB You probably already know my vote ---
Jace Jace Jace Jace Jace Jace ;)

Actually, I like Clay in Bitten because he seemed like a combination between Marc and between Jace :)

Aimee (facere323) | 36 comments You know what's funny. When I picked up Stray, one of the reasons I loved it was because the relationships reminded me of Bitten.

message 5: by Steph (new)

Steph (angel4492) I'm with you, Flib. I also agree that Clay seems like a good mesh of these two. There are things I like about both, but am more drawn to Jace.

message 6: by FlibBityFLooB (new)

FlibBityFLooB I'm not sure that Jace is going to be able to remain his fun loving self in the next book - Shift.

Without posting about the Wonder Twins spoilers in book 4, I just wonder how Rachel Vincent will be able to pull off Jace's fun side. I can't wait to find out, though!

message 7: by FlibBityFLooB (new)

FlibBityFLooB Alrighty... You guys better get reading on the latest book (SHIFT) so I can discuss. I want to know your feelings on the love triangle in the book!

message 8: by Aimee (new)

Aimee (facere323) | 36 comments AHHH! Is it out?

message 9: by FlibBityFLooB (new)

FlibBityFLooB I got it in the mail from amazon, so I think it came out early. GO FIND IT and read it :)

message 10: by Aimee (new)

Aimee (facere323) | 36 comments lol. Don't worry. I'll be looking for it tomorrow!

message 11: by Aimee (new)

Aimee (facere323) | 36 comments Ooooo, honey. If that's not tension I don't know what is! I need Alpha....NOW!

message 12: by Aimee (new)

Aimee (facere323) | 36 comments I think I'm leaning toward team Jace. But I'm still torn! EEK!

message 13: by FlibBityFLooB (new)

FlibBityFLooB Jace got flirty again in SHIFT> I was so worried after the Wonder-Twins fiasco in book 4 that he would no longer be Jace.

I was happy to see him becoming a combination of old Flirty Jace with Alpha-Marc.

I said in another thread, I almost feel like Rachel Vincent will have to kill one of 'em off in the end. Quite the pickle she's written herself into at the moment~! :)

I ♥ Bookie Nookie (bookienookiereviews.blogspot.com) (ibookienookie) I am all about Jace...I like Marc too, but I am more partial to Jace's new fun-alpha combo. The second Ethan was killed, I knew it would change Jace and nudge him more towards the Alpha end of the spectrum. If she didn't take him in that direction, there wouldn't be many other ways she could develop his character/story line--to date his story revolved around his interaction with Faythe and his relationship with Ethan.

Shannon (Savhage Temptrest) (savhagetemptress) | 7 comments I think Faythe needs to be left on her own. Both those guys are just too good for her, but if I had to choose I would say Marc deserves that misery. Jace just deserves a better female who he doesn't have to hang out on the sidelines for.

message 16: by Dija (new)

Dija Marc, deffo. Faythe and Jace wouldn't last more than 1 month of a serious relationship. Their personalities are too alike in that respect. While Marc, on the other hand, seems to me to be the only one able to control Faythe effectively. Faythe needs a guy who's stronger than her, not weaker.

FlibBityFLooB Okay... Spoilers below if you haven't read ALPHA yet...

So, I can't say that I am happy with the ending. I really enjoyed the series, though.

In a way, I guess I am glad that Faythe doesn't end up with Jace. He deserves better! Then again, so does Marc. hehehhehe

Can you tell I get annoyed by Faythe?

I was very surprised by all the vulnerability that Faythe showed in this book. Especially getting the sh*t kicked out of her in the Alpha match. I wasn't expecting that.

Marc was too nice about everything. Then again, it was the Shifters series, not BIG LOVE. Though, I kind of wished it could have been big love. :)

message 18: by Dija (last edited Oct 11, 2010 01:58AM) (new)

Dija I really love this series and the plot throughout was highly engaging. And while the ending was predictable, there was still a time when I wasn't 100% sure Faythe would end up with Marc. And I hated Faythe half the time, but she has matured a lot more in the last few books. I just wish that before she got Marc for good, she'd have done something huge to show that she loves him even half as much as he loves her. But since she didn't, it just feels like she doesn't deserve Marc at all and manipulated him.

message 19: by Naoms (new)

Naoms (naomsbookgeekdavis) I just finished reading this, and I have to say I am pretty angry. I was all team Marc, but I feel in this book, she made us fall in love with Jace. Jace was connecting with Faythe in a way that Marc couldn't and I don't know, he came back because of a promise to her dad, not for her, so it didn't feel like that big of a deal to me...and honestly after 5 books, I feel we should have had a better put together epilogue or something...

Kristine (krazy_kd) | 9 comments Okay, 1st off... I love Jace! Always have and always will xD hahah he's perfect. Although I love the whole alpha aggressive thingy I just didn't like it on Marc. Especially when he does it a bit too much. I love Jace's venerability honesty and love. And his flirtiness and ability to make me- eh I mean faythe- smile. Jace honey, if faythe doesn't want you, I'll be your bitch ;D hahaha the ending wasn't too bad I guess, though I really really think Jace should be the one *sigh* haahha

message 21: by Orchita Rahman (new)

Orchita Rahman | 2 comments I feel like I'm on this bandwagon waaay late, but I need to vent. With this series, I loved both Marc and Jace. If I had to choose sides though, I'd be on Team Marc, because I feel like he's the only one who can actually deal with the mess that is Faythe. He's stuck by her, even when she was a total bitch, and knows her better than ANYONE (including Jace, case in point, the whole nightmares thing). Jace represented something fresh and new, but Marc was solid, and in the end, Faythe realized that it was Marc that she valued more. I really hated the fact that Ethan died though. This is horrible of me, but I wish that Karen Sanders had died instead. At the end of the day, I was TREMENDOUSLY pleased with how everything turned out. TEAM MARC BABES. I wish Rachel Vincent would write a sequel series with Jace, and mention all of the adorkable miniature Marcs that Faythe and Marc are obviously going to have in the not so distant future.

message 22: by Marie (new)

Marie I always thought it should be Jace. Her relationship with Marc is already... there... and we never really got how it all started, you know? The first signs of attraction, that look in the eyes from across the room? How they BECAME attracted to each other. How they BECAME such a couple.

Jace on the other hand puts on some moves from the first book and only becomes bolder. She is obvioulsy attracted to him so it's not like he's got some hopeless crush. She leads him on!

I absolutly HATED the last book(romance-wise). To be absolutly honest, I mostly just hate it when heroines go back to their first love instead of choosing the reeaaallyy HOT guy who is a bit on the "wild side" ;P

message 23: by FlibBityFLooB (new)

FlibBityFLooB I agree, Marie!
