message 104: by Calila (new)

Calila @Juli -- Oh it was great! I loved it. Hadn't read any of the series but it wasn't needed. Highly recommmend it.

Juli Temple (iowalass) | 8 comments Thanks! Just finishing up The Devil Wears Plaid by Teresa Medeiros and then I will start that one!

message 106: by Calila (new)

Calila Read and really loved Till Dawn with the Devil: Lords of Vice by Alexandra Hawkins. Enjoyed it so much more than the first book in the series.

Amanda (kittiescardigansbooks) | 7 comments Just finished Guilty Pleasures (Guilty Series, #1) by Laura Lee Guhrke and LOVED IT! I knew I would like this book since I really like the heroines in HRs to be a little different: quirky, bluestocking, etc. I was a little worried because the blurb mentions that the hero only notices the heroine after she is "tutored in the social graces," and I hate those books! But this was different that what I was fearing. Loved Anthony and Loved Daphne! So good!

Calila Reading To Tame a Dangerous Lord by Nicole Jordan

message 109: by Calila (new)

Calila Just finished A Hellion in Her Bed by Sabrina Jeffries.

Heroine annoyed me about 40% of the time but not really enough to make me put the book down. I still wanted the HEA but mainly for the heroes sake and for George.

Calila Just finished Castles in the Air by Christina Dodd. Not big on medievals but I liked it well enough.

message 111: by Calila (new)

Calila Just finished All He Desires by Anthea Lawson. Took a bit to get connected but enjoyed the story once I did.

message 112: by Calila (new)

Calila Reading Seducing the Duchess by Ashley March. Its good so far.

message 113: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (kittiescardigansbooks) | 7 comments Just finished Touch Me and loved it. I just wish I had picked up the others in the series at the library as well!

Amanda (kittiescardigansbooks) | 7 comments Just finished Something Sinful (Griffin Family, #3) by Suzanne Enoch . It's a close tie with An Invitation to Sin (Griffin Family, #2) by Suzanne Enoch for my fave in the series. I am obsessed with Suzanne Enoch's historicals right now... going to start London's Perfect Scoundrel (Lessons in Love, #2) by Suzanne Enoch tomorrow!

Grace Elliot (httpwwwgoodreadscomgraceelliot) Just started reading 'Somewhere I'll find you,' by Lisa Kleypas whilst waiting at the dentist. Already loving the language, very evocative!
Does anyone know if 'Love in the Spring' by the same author is available anywhere as an eBook?

message 116: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm currently reading Haunting Miss Trentwood! Very gothic!

message 117: by Grace (new)

Grace Elliot (httpwwwgoodreadscomgraceelliot) Currently reading Lisa Kleypas 'Someday I'll find you' and its enchanting. Lovely believable characters who I'm starting to care about. Just what I want from a read!

Calila Read A Duke's Temptation by Jillian Hunter. Fun read, heroine was a little trying at times but still likable.

message 119: by Calila (last edited Nov 19, 2010 11:01PM) (new)

Calila Read Ten Ways to Be Adored When Landing a Lord by Sarah MacLean. Liked "9 Rules" better but this was good.

Patricia | 7 comments I am about halfway through WICKED DELIGHTS OF A BRIDAL BED by Tracy Anne Warren. Enjoying it. She gives detailed descriptions of clothing, dining and everyday activities. Kind of nice.

message 121: by Calila (new)

Calila Read When Harry Met Molly by Kieran Kramer. Great book! Loved the banter/bickering between hero/heroine.

message 122: by Grace (new)

Grace Elliot (httpwwwgoodreadscomgraceelliot) Just started Eloisa James' 'Desperate Duchess' but have the strong feeling I've read it before, despite knowing for certain that I havent!!
Does this mean its similar to another romance or am I just losing my marbles?

Grace x

Calila I read A Storm of Pleasure by Terri Brisbin. Really enjoyed it.

message 124: by Calila (new)

Calila Read and LOVED Rules of an Engagement by Suzanne Enoch. Loved finally getting to read Bradshaw's story. Zephyr is a great match for him!

Tina | readinginbliss (readinginbliss) I'm currently reading the third book of Nicole Jordan's Courtship Wars, To Seduce a Bride. :)

The first two were great! :)

Calila Read The Duke's Night of Sin by Kathryn Caskie. I liked it okay.

message 127: by Calila (last edited Dec 09, 2010 11:10PM) (new)

Calila I read Dukes to the Left of Me, Princes to the Right by Kieran Kramer. Seriously loved it!

message 128: by Calila (new)

Calila Read Passions of a Wicked Earl (London's Greatest Lovers, #1) by Lorraine Heath. Really enjoyed it despite the heroine pulling a few TSTL moments.

message 129: by Calila (new)

Calila Read The Year of Living Scandalously by Julia London. Seriously loved it! It had such great banter.

message 130: by Grace (new)

Grace Elliot (httpwwwgoodreadscomgraceelliot) Reading 'Mariana' by Susanna Kearsley - was suckered into reading it because I thought it was a historical but at the moment its more time slip than HR. It is a good read so far but I feel cheated cos I so love my HR, especially RR.

message 131: by Grace (new)

Grace Elliot (httpwwwgoodreadscomgraceelliot) Just started 'Runaway Lady' by one of my favourite authors Claire Thornton. Ms Thornton is a much underestimated author of HR and I love the way she paints vivid believable characters. HOwever I cannot find 'Runaway Lady' on Goodreads - does anyone know why? Has it been previously published under a different name or is it just me?

message 132: by Patricia (new)

Patricia | 7 comments I just finished A VIRGIN RIVER CHRISTMAS by Robyn Carr. Loved it. I've been wanting to read one of her books and wish I had done it sooner.

message 133: by Calila (new)

Calila I read Pleasures of a Notorious Gentleman (London's Greatest Lovers, #2) by Lorraine Heath. Didn't enjoy it as much as I did the 1st book in the series....really excited for the 3rd book though.

message 134: by Calila (new)

Calila I read A Courtesan's Scandal by Julia London. Really enjoyed it but the ending felt off.

Just finished The Lady Most Likely...: A Novel in Three Partsby Julia Quinn, Eloisa James, and Connie Brockway. So awesome! The way it was written was so interesting. I loved all the couples and really enjoyed the book.

message 135: by Grace (new)

Grace Elliot (httpwwwgoodreadscomgraceelliot) Halfway through 'The Conqueror' by Brenda Joyce. Enjoying it but some of the characters are a bit black and white.

message 136: by Grace (new)

Grace Elliot (httpwwwgoodreadscomgraceelliot) Currently reading an unusual Regency Intentions of the Earl (Scandalous Sisters, #1) by Rose Gordon This book has elements of humour that put me in mind of Julia Quinn, and an unusual twist in that the heroine is American and has morals much closer to those of modern women.
