i mean this is a hunger games group and i love harry potter, but hunger games is a real page turner. if the movie is bad i might decide harry potter.

Ive never read Harry Potter ... it was before my time... it came out when I was like in 2nd grade or something... but my friend read it and loves it...So im obbsessed with the HUNGER GAMES!!1 this is a series I can love and be obbsessed with!!!

well, I guess that you can't judge, of course.
i am a sucker for some action and sci-fi but I cant give up on harry potter. I loved this inner battle harry is having while Katniss while still having AMAZING inner thoughts was in serious survival mode. I love both books but got stay with my original love Harry Potter still love Hunger Games.

I really could not pick. They are both amazing books but if you think about it; the sereis are in two different generes so i won't choose between them.
I like the HP characters better. It was more lighthearted. But THG is just...well, THG
Okay. This is definitely moooore sensible than Twilight or Hunger Games. I have to say Harry Potter. It's my all time favorite because... I don't know... I just love it. Hunger Games comes close second though. If there's no Harry Potter, Hunger Games won't have any competition. ^_^
This is a hard choice. It isn't like comparing a successful series with Twilight. (Ex; Twilight and Harry Potter or Twilight and Hunger Games.) Because for me Twilight wouldn't win with either or even other book series that aren't as successful. (Not that I don't like Twilight, I just don't think it is nearly as good as some other people do. I mean some people think it is amazing.)But I think I will always be a sucker for Harry Potter.

Harry Potter, for sure. Harry Potter was great from beginning to end. Hunger Games is a great story, but the third and final book was a disappointment.
How is this even a discussion? DEFINITELY Harry Potter! More well written, deeper characters, more dynamic story lines, deeper thematic connections...no contest. HP all the way.

Definitely Harry Potter. Not saying Hunger Games is bad in any way, but I'm more of a fantasy fan.

I love both, but I'm going with Harry Potter.
Probably Harry Potter, but only because there are 7 books in the series. Its so disappointing when you reach the end of that third book in the Hunger Games and realise there is nothing left to read :(
As much as I love Hunger Games, Harry Potter always has been and always will be my favourite book, no matter what. The Hunger Games was a fantastic trilogy, and when I was reading the first book, I got shivers every time, for some unexplained reason, but Harry Potter is really where my heart lies. Nothing will ever top it for me..EDIT: I actually forgot to add that with Hunger Games, I felt that the Second and Third books were a bit of a 'let-down' compared to the First book. That might just be me, but yeah. I didn't really feel that with the Harry Potter books though. And I'm not being biased, just because I love Harry Potter.
