If you like sagas, I recommend "The Book of the New Sun" by Gene Wolfe, staggering in its imaginary and literary scope. Wolfe creates a world just as rich as anything that Frank Herbert or Asimov envisioned.

Thanks for the tip - actually I've started reading it lately (the 1st book) and it got me interested. I hope I'll like all of this saga.

Keep us posted and stick with it. I've been screaming about how good this series is for a long time, to anyone who'll listen.

Need some help please I am trying to read something in the lines of Dune. I did read the whole saga, and Asimov's saga as well.

Use of Weapons
I'd recommend Iain M Banks books Iain M. Banks - specifically as a starting point Use of Weapons - he also writes novels under the name Iain Banks - they are all listed together on this site but you can see the title pages to sift out which are sci-fi and which are novels. The novels are wonderful too by the way.
Have you read the Gormenghast series? A bit more fantasy than sci-fi but nevertheless well worth diving into - a real 'lose yourself' experience. The Gormenghast Novels: Titus Groan, Gormenghast, Titus Alone
More in the Sci-Fi genre are the Heinlein books Robert Heinlein there aren't any of his more famous books here under his author listing but I found this one individually The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress - OK that's enough to be getting on with :)

Thanks for Iain M. Banks books tip - haven't read his novels yet. I'm familiar with R.Heinlein though (eg. "Stranger in a strange land"), and also with Mervyn Peake's Gormenghast novels, it's just like you said: reading those books is one of a kind experience, very vivid, imaginative and fantastic.
