Patrick (tuffghost) | 2 comments Is there any way to have more than one cover for the same book?

Here's my problem: I'm reading Crime and Punishment, the Vintage Classics version with the Pevear/Volokhonsky translation. The cover art on this site is not the cover art of the book I have, or seemingly the cover on the books being sold currently.

I am particularly anal-retentive and would like to have the proper cover art shown for the book I am reading. Is there any way one could add this?

For the record, this Amazon listing shows the current cover art; it should be the black-and-white one.

Thanks.

Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) | 2400 comments Patrick, Oh yes. This happens frequently. If your cover is not already in the Goodreads database (will be quite a search to make sure given how many editions are in the database) you can manually add your book edition and cover and in the book description field say it's an alternate cover for ISBN (and say which ISBN it is.)

Patrick (tuffghost) | 2 comments If I do that, however, I will get a duplicate error. Should I, then, add it without the ISBN?
