I've only seen THE WAR ZONE and it’s definitely difficult to forget. To me, the last scene is probably the most memorable.

yes, that last scene, when the family (the children in particular) come to the full realization of what has just gone down ... whoa. that film stops you in your tracks. (i mean, that dad is dead and what the hell does the family do now?)and julie - WHOA. i guess i was closing my eyes or something and didn't see the blood on the diaper. yow. i'm not sure i'm ever going to get around to watching that one a second time, and it's not because the performances and the direction were not totally spot on. just too emotionally devastating, even for me.
(shudder)
ok, after that i'm going to have to change the channel and list the scene in PEE WEE'S big adventure (well, two scenes) ... one when he locks his bike with ten thousand feet of chain and the other when he knocks over that row of motorcycles at the biker bar.
i'm going to continue to lighten the mood here and list the scene in THE 39 STEPS when robert donat is urged on stage at a political rally (while fleeing from the police) and is forced to give a speech and takes the audience by storm. i've seen that film - i really don't know how many times - and it still cracks me up every time.
Kyle, I think you mean the Russian roulette scenes in THE DEER HUNTER, rather than APOCALYPSE NOW.
i like jet li's silhouette among the arrows in Hero its hard to pick a favorite from that movie every scene is a work of art when it comes to Hero
The scene in Fame (1980) when all the students run out into the street to dance on top of the cars & taxis.

The most memorable scene in that film, for me, is the scene right after the playground perching, when all the kids are running down the street and screaming.
West Side Story - so many to choose from. Start with the Sharks and the Jets dancing, the dance at the gymn, the rooftop dancing scene (Everything free in America!) and of course the final scene with Maria beside Tony's body.
Big Fish-When Ewan McGregor's character creates a field of daffodils for the women he's in love with.Fight Club-The scene at the end when the Narrator (Edward Norton) and Marla are standing in a building while other ones are being blown up and fall apart.
Megan Is Missing-When the handheld camera (that the killer is holding) flicks to the side for a second and you finally see what becomes of Megan.
Some lines and moments..."You can't handle the truth!" (no attribution needed, right?)
C3PO and R2D2 so clean and sparkly during the awards ceremony at the end of Ep. IV.
"One-point-twenty-one jigawatts!!"

Les Miserables:Valjean Arrested, Valjean Forgiven--When Valjean steals from the bishop and gets caught by officers. Afterwards he's forgiven by the bishop. It's just really memorable for me because Colm Wilkinson played the original Valjean and then to play the bishop was just an amazing choice for me.
Red and Black/ABC Cafe- When the students are talking about how there needs to be change and Marius comes in all starry eyed.
One Day More--Everyone's getting ready for the big battle.
The Epilogue--Valjean's last scene, the bishop appears, and there's a giant barricade with all the students, Eponine, Cosette, Valjean, and Fantine on it. To not give it away.
