Michelle, I have only read Dead After Dark and another short story, but they were much better. Sookie was very one dimensional and I hated the premise of this story.

I like to collect first editions of Jude Deveraux's early romance novels. The late 80's and very early 90's yielded some awesome covers.

Actually, I've had more than one copy of most of the BDB books, but I give them away to a needy person (needy for some Brothers in their life). I do have two copies of Lover Awakened. I will probably get a paperback copy of Lover Avenged. Please don't encourage my book fetish, Amanda. LOL!

Michelle, I am loving the different werewolf stories in Wolfsbane. I can't get enough werewolf in my life. :)

I have read the BDB series, too. I LOVE that series and can't wait until the next one comes out! I am still loving the Midnight Breed series and now that I know they get better and better .... I am all giddy to start the next one! LOL

I totally agree ... ;) Onced I started them I couldn't stop until I had read them all. I was so sad when I finish the last one and now have to wait for the next one to come out. My love affair has temporarly had come to an end. :(

Thanks girls. I really wanted something special for the week I'm away. Damn it's so hard to choose. Audrey I have a soft spot for the midnight Breed series so it might win out and maybe a couple of the others will too.

On a sad, sad note I've spent the last 2 days looking for a Chapters gift card I received for x-mas. I can't find it anywhere. I think the recycling man took it away. In fact I'm pretty sure I threw out the equivalent of 3 books. Oh God... WHAT HAVE I DONE!

Maybe you will still find it ... Hope you do. I would be upset too, but don't beat yourself over it. Maybe whoever got it for you can see if they can reissue it for you. I don't know it Chapters keeps records of who they sell gift card to. Good Luck!

i just finished they both got 2 stars from me and for Another Faust, that was being generous! The only thing I liked about Another Faust (YA book) is that the life lesson is a good one--pretty much: you don't get something for nothing.

That book was one of my favorites in the series. The main character is hot, and it opens the door for the entire Dark-Hunter series.

I finished today. It is not a paranormal romance, but pretty good Scottish historical romance. The hero, Brodick, is very yummy. I know some people do not like it when authors write the Scottish accent, so just a warning Wine does do that in this book.

Miki, after looking at your shelves, I wanted to recommend a few of my favorite series--I will name the first book in the series:

Halfway to the Grave--similar to the sookie stackhouse series, except the main character, Cat is a vampire hunter.
Darkfever--about faeries and is more urban fantasy
Full Moon Rising--lot of sex in this book just in case you have an aversion to books like that...
Mona Lisa Awakening--also a lot of sex

Miki, I second Cherra's recs of Halfway to the Grave and Darkfever--2 of my fave series along with the Cassie Palmer's.

Another fave of mine is the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews, the 1st book is .

But first, after you finish Midnight's Daughter, the 2nd one in that series, Death's Mistress comes out next Tuesday. :)
