Maura (Babyanne) | 2 comments I think I found home!! Finally a place to discuss the books I love with other like readers. I just finished Living with the Dead by Kelley Armstrong and just started Stray by Rachel Vincent (Recommendation from this site). I typically read eReader books just because I always have my iPhone with me and it is convenient. I also like the fact that I can read your great reviews and then start reading the book within minutes.

I look forward to making some new friends here and thanks for introducing me to a new author.

The Flooze (the_flooze) | 1593 comments Welcome, Maura!

Cyndi, Sands' series is great when you're looking for light and funny. They're definitely popcorn books. She's made me laugh out loud many, many times. I think I've read through to the 7th so far.

I like the Cal Leandros series. There's all kinds of creepy crawlies I'd never heard of before.

message 4711: by Erin (new)

Erin (erin-b) Finally finished Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Seth Grahame-Smith and am nearly done with The Dream Thief (Drakon, #2) by Shana Abé . Now the question is, do I finish Fledgling by Octavia E. Butler or Lover Unbound (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #5) by J.R. Ward ? I can't decide.

I'm reading OUTLANDER for the first time. It's been slow going but I'm really getting into it now.Love Claire and Jaime. Can't wait to see what happens next. Right now I'm on the scene where Claire is accused of being a witch. Hope Jaime saves the day soon. Happy reading!

:-) My favorite book of all time enjoy!

message 4715: by Melissa (new)

Melissa I love the Cal Leandros series too! I have her spin off book Trick of the Light sitting on my bookshelf waiting to be read.

I am currently reading Silent Night, Haunted Night by Terri Garey. It's book 4 in the Nicki Styx series. This are fun and fast reads. Romance, mystery and ghosts all rolled into one.

You will LOVE IT!I am so jealous of anyone who is experiencing this series for the first time, it is one of my all-time faves. I have An Echo in the Bone but I simply will not allow myself to read it until I've re-read the entire series (it's been years, and I don't wanna miss a single nuance). Trust me, it won't be a chore! :) The hardest part is squeezing in time for re-reads (especially long ones) with all the challenges I get myself into LOL!

message 4719: by Storm (new)

Storm (stormgerlock) I loved The Summoning so I'm hoping that this one will be better. I've heard really good things about it too.

message 4720: by Kate (new)

Kate (katesbooknook) You will not be disappointed! Even though this series is marked as Young Adult, I'm a 35 yr old mom and really enjoyed the story!

message 4721: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (jnhart) So many books! So little time!

Just finished Blood Lite

Now reading Kim Harrison's Dead Witch Walking. Not very far into it yet, but I like it.

message 4722: by Heather B (new)

Heather B (heatherbenson) I just finished Dark Lover, and loved ever second of it. I was sad when I finished it, I never wanted it to end. I can wait to get the other ones and see if I like them just as much.
Now I don't really know what to read next.

message 4723: by Valorie (new)

Valorie | 426 comments I just finished Red (Dead World, #1) by Jordan Summers and really enjoyed it. It was kind of a Sci-Fi-ish paranormal romance about werewolves. A really good 1st book in the series. A really strong heroine lead character, which I love! I moving on to Eve of Destruction (Marked, Book 2) by S.J. Day next.

message 4724: by Denell (new)

Denell | 7 comments Finished Dead Girls Are Easy (Nicki Styx, #1) by Terri Garey , wasnt much taken with the book..would have liked more supernatural creatures. Also read Obsession Untamed (Feral Warriors, #2) by Pamela Palmer really enjoying the Feral Warriors series. Next to be read [image error]

message 4725: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Orlich Ahern (kittymeowxcore) | 97 comments Erin, I loved Lover Unbound. It was probably one of my favorites in the series.

Well, right now I am reading Covet (Fallen Angels, #1) by J.R. Ward . I had a really hard time getting into this story. But I'm about 14% in (I read on a Kindle) and it's picking up for me.

Next, I'm deciding if I want to read Vampire Academy (Vampire Academy, #1) by Richelle Mead or The Summoning (Darkest Powers, #1) by Kelley Armstrong .

Also on my to-read list are [image error] and Tithe (The Modern Faerie Tales, #1) by Holly Black .

I liked The Host. It was a slow starting book for me, too...but once I got into it, I didn't put it down. I'm really excited for any possible books to follow. I've heard about a 3-book series involving the "Host" world.

message 4728: by Carolyn F. (new)

Carolyn F. Finished The Demon's Daughter by Emma Holly. Loved it. The story was different than anything I've read recently which was a nice change of pace. Read the anthology Man of My Dreams. Like Sherrilyn Kenyon's and Maggie Shayne's stories. Didn't like Suzanne Forester's at all and Virginia Kantra's was okay. Also finished Dream Warrior by Sherrilyn Kenyon. Very good book. Am starting Kresley Cole's A Hunger Like No Other which I think is the first Kresley Cole book I've read.

This is the best series I've read so far and I can't wait for Love Mine to come out in 2010...I've was totally pissed when they left Xhex hanging in Lover Avenged and I'm stoked to read more about John Matthew.

Yeah, it’s illegal and punishable by law in Canada not to read the entire BDB series. I’m not sure about the US but I think the UK carries out the death penalty.

I had the same problem with that book. I still plan to give it another shot, but I had the hardest time getting into it. I developed a bit of an obsession with the city Carcassonne after doing a paper on a William Faulkner story called Carcassonne in college and that prompted me to buy the book.

I'm currently finishing up some audiobooks that I started but had to put aside to finish my December challenge reads. Almost done with Born of Night (The League, #1) by Sherrilyn Kenyon and Morrigan's Cross (Circle trilogy #1) by Nora Roberts , and about half way through Dark Guardian (Carpathians, #9) by Christine Feehan .
