I just finished the Immortals After Dark series and I am a fan. I vote for that one.

message 4604: by Miki (new)

Miki Decker | 3 comments I just finished Howl at the Moon and One with a Stranger by Christine Warren and boy was I let down. the back of of the cover says all the books they are all about sex almost dripping with it. if you need anymore descriptions there you have it. It is almost like watchin a porn in action. I disliked thes books because there was not action and I don't mean sex. Ha! Ha!

message 4605: by Carolyn F. (new)

Carolyn F. Caylyn, I loved all those books. Can't wait until the next comes out.

I havent read the Immortals series so allI can comment on is Mercy. I really enjoy reading this series. Even though the story is different there is a similair feel to the Riley Jensen series. Although the level of sex & romance is lower as it is more urban fantasy than paranormal romance.

Silvana~Duchess of Avonlea~ Now i need to make a decision on what to read next. Immortal After Dark series or the Mercedes Thompson series?

Mersina if you’re looking for addiction to add to the already busy Christmas season by all means go with Immortal After Dark series. It’s a MUST READ. With that said you must also read the Mercedes Thompson series. So I suggest you stay up for 2 months and read them both.

Sorry Mersina it looks like I’m no help.

Shannon (theholyterror) | 313 comments I started both Bloody Good by Georgia Evans and [image error] yesterday. Bloody Good is different than anything I've read, in a good way. Wolfsbane and Mistletoe has been kind of hit-or-miss, but that's how it normally is for me and anthologies.

Yeah, my cold is just about gone. Still a little phlegmy but at least I'm not a snot fountain anymore.

The Gardella books are fantastic and I adore Sebastian. Can't wait to see what you think!

I had a feeling that my badgering was to blame. I think you'll like it a lot though ... especially the carriage rides!

I ♥ Bookie Nookie (bookienookiereviews.blogspot.com) (ibookienookie) I just finished Blood Bound--it was a good one. Almost finished with The Hunger Games--it is an interesting and different concept for a book.

Getting ready to start Nicholas (The Lords of Satyr, #1) by Elizabeth Amber

I've put that in 3 or 4 different challenges now and I keep missing it for one reason or another. I'm curious to see what you think, especially after reading the Claiming of Sleeping Beauty, since you had so much fun with that. I think the man in this one has two penises ... (penii? what's the plural? ... hmm ...)

message 4621: by The Flooze (new)

The Flooze (the_flooze) | 1593 comments The review that Bestbeloved did on Nicholas is HILARIOUS. And made me decide to avoid that book like the plague. Multiple penii and brotherly sperm, mixed with some GHB. Tawdry, baby.

Carriages! I remember those being mentioned! Back to reading...

Shannon & Michelle M--ok, now I am scared because ya'll used Nicholas and The claiming of sleeping beauty in the same sentence--I had no idea...

****************ADULT CONTENT PLEASE BE ADVISED*************************

I have had it on several challenge lists and I keep putting it off. I did manage to read the prologue last night--only a few pages and the 3 lords have just awakened their 2nd penis--used only during the first "release" during the full moon...at least I think it was a full moon. The 2nd smaller penis is only meant for the anus--after it is used once it retreats for the next month into his pelvic area.

Ok, it's a little strange so far, but I am going in with an open mind.

oh goodness--you guys are making me bust a gut laughing! and Michelle, seriously like the 5th paragraph describes his "newly awakened flesh...as he strokes it from root to tip..." i had to read it like 4 times to realize she was talking about a new penis...a secondary penis and I was like well, what on earth is he gonna do with 2 of those? of course in my stupid little head, I was imagining 2 women trying to mount him at the same time and I was thinking--wow, they sure are gonna be cramped in that little space!

Heidi (heidimar) | 10 comments About to start Lover Avenged

I've been reading about the infamous BDB forever and this series definitely lives up to it's hype! I'm sad I'm on the last book (for a while at least).

Can anyone help with what series I should start next? I have Mortal Instruments, Cassie Palmer, and Immortals After Dark series all lined up on my kindle. Can any hold a candle to the brotherhood?

message 4639: by Nita (new)

Nita (gillnit) Heidi - I have read all three and enjoyed each very much. They are all different compared to each other and the BDB series. If you are looking for something more serious with some great action, and some hot guys, then I would read the Cassie Palmer series. If you want something a little lighter, pretty funny, but also romantic, then I would read the Immortals After Dark series. And if you want something with some teen angst and no sex, but a great story, then I would read the Mortal Instruments series. It's hard to compare them to the BDB series.

Hey Alice
I've read the two books from the Evernight series that are out so far. I think that the first was my favourite, but at first it took me a long time to decide whether I liked then, not cause there not good, they just seemed different at first, but I do like them. Also I think that the next one is comingout soon.
And the Evermore book that you read is it the one by Alyson Noel, cause if it is the next two books are already out.
Also totally agree, the Vampire Academy books are really great, and I can't wait for the next one to come out.

Nita (gillnit) Finished up Soul Magic (Wing Slayer Hunters, #2) by Jennifer Lyon . It is better than the first book. Great hero and heroine.

Started Finding the Lost (Sentinel Wars, #2) by Shannon K. Butcher . Had a hard time remembering all the details of the first in the series, but I am enjoying this one. If I remember correctly I wasn't to enamored with the hero of the first book. Paul in the second book is much better.
