A Mermaid's Kiss took me by surprise too when I first read it.

Hi Melissa. Downside Ghosts was an excellent series. The catch, though, is that Stacia Kane has been promising the 6th book since 2012. In the past few years she has said she is working on it. It's a long and dubious wait at this point.

Ah, unfortunately it didn’t end well for me, so I didn’t like it. I found it a bit too dramatic and cheesy towards the end. I am glad I read it as it was on my tbr for so long

It sucks how long the wait is.

I’m currently reading Tangled

"It sucks how long the wait is."
Agreed. I just did a quick search and I think George R. R. Martin's last book in A Song of Ice and Fire was released in 2011. Kane is giving him a run for his money. At least in the waiting game.

Good to know! I guess I’ll slow down my journey through that series

I´m re-reading some of my favorite Psy-Changeling books, too.

About to start The Solstice Countdown (SPI Files) by Lisa Shearin or The Wicked King (The Folk of the Air #2) by Holly Black
Listening Armed & Magical (Raine Benares, #2) by Lisa Shearin

I’m currently re-reading Branded by Fire

Another M/M animated serial PNR & I can't wait for each installment of this one. It's thrilling. The Black Mirror
I'm reading this a little at the time but sort of saving it for the beach or pool to be in the mood. Seduced by the Sea Lord.
Absolutely, loving this one so far, but it's not urban romance or PNR: In the Middle of Somewhere

It says it's a dark romance but it isn't. Everything is consensual.
Basically wizards have human familiars that amplify their power. But those familiars are basically slaves.
The main character is from a large and wealthy wizard family. All are disappointed she turns out to be a familiar since that means she will leave and marry a wizard from a different family.
The world building details were interesting and I liked both the hero and heroine.
Book 2 is scheduled for release in July 2021. No cliffhanger ending.

There was a lot of humor too.

I have a little over an hour left of Legendborn

Finished

And now I'm nearly finished with

I’m currently re-reading Blaze of Memory
