I'm reading Allison and the Torrid Tea Party, a horror/reverse harem romance based on Alice in Wonderland. Different but really cool!!

I needed a historical romance after watching Bridgerton (which I did not like, the hero needed to stop being mean to her)

So I re-read Devil's Bride by Stephanie Laurens. Hero is so in love with her and wants her to marry him and she is like, nope. I'm not in love with you. So he tries to win her over.

I’m rereading Ilona Andrews’s Hidden Legacy series. I love to walk away from a series for 6 months or a year and then revisit it. I always pick up a wealth of foreshadowing, hints and depth of writing that I didn’t notice the first time through.

Plus it’s fun to encounter characters, knowing what their future holds in book 2, 3, or 4 etc.

I read a cowboy falls in love with the local teacher romance. I will definitely re-read it, it's a keeper shelf book.

The moment the hero sees her, he's in love. But he's so shy as he grew up in a cabin with his brothers and father and never spoke to women, that every time he speaks to her it comes out in a terrible way.

The hero wooed her. He left her thoughtful gifts and wrote her love notes. All he wanted was for her to be happy.

Her apartment is a junk hole and the hero helps her fix the hole in her roof and her leaking faucet and the broken thermostat, etc.

I love how in love with her the hero was.

Is SFR Sci Fi Romance? I read the blurb and I’m intrigued but want to know if there will be a yummy romance along with the story.

Yes Treena, it's science-fiction-romance (SFR). As far as the romance part goes, yeah it's there but there aren't any actual sex scenes so I'd call it slow burn.

I posted it here in a paranormal-romance (PNR) group because I read from both genres and I think others might enjoy it too, even if they don't normally do much scifi romance. The whole series takes place on Earth. Yes, there are aliens but what I loved the most was the heroines focus on deciphering the visions she was getting throughout the whole invasion. She's such a strong, practical woman just trying to lead others through this @#*storm and the partial visions seemed so sketchy and were literally step by step sometimes that I found her decision to blindly trust them despite all that rather fascinating. Hope that helps.

I am listening to “Star Witch” by Helen Harper. This is the second book in the trilogy. I have already completed the series but like to revisit. I really think it’s her best work. The main character is so lazy-smart and self-deprecating that you can’t help but love her
