and loved every single one of them despite how utterly ridiculous they are or more probably because of how utterly ridiculous they are 🤣. I have to say that I think the series gets a bad rap, as there is a lot of skill involved in this type of multi-couple series where you are always seeing what's happening in the background with so many other characters and it does not get in the way of the main plot. I don't recall the Magnus Pack Trilogy as much as I enjoyed that, being quite so well written.
Favorite of the series? Who bloody knows, a toss up between

Also finished

On top of all my staples, I've also got a ton of fun and more serious, mostly older stuff to choose from (mood dependant of course as I don't do strict TBR's!) for February including
Classics James Baldwin and Toni Morrison
Sci-fi from Nnedi Okorafor and Queen Octavia E. Butler,
Dystopia/Apoloclypse from Lafayette Williams and Steven Barnes
Fantasy L.A. Banks and Kyoko M.
Contemporary Romance from Talia Hibbert and Kennedy Ryan,
Fantasy Romance by Shaylynn Rose and Latrivia Welch
Historical Romance from Beverly Jenkins and Vanessa Riley,
Memoirs by Lenny Henry and Nnedi Okorafor
Other Non-Fic by Afua Hirsch and Gary Younge
Poetry by Terrance Hayes and Danez Smith
Short story collections from N.K. Jemisin and Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah,
General Contemporary Mike Gayle and Tayari Jones
Literary by Jacqueline Woodson and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie,
Historical by Colson Whitehead and Esi Edugyan
Mystery/Thriller by Alexia Gordon and Nesly Clerge
YA General Contemporary by Randi Pink and Camryn Garrett
YA Fantasy by Daniel José Older and Rena Barron

It's such a great list, but I'm wondering if you've read the Inheritance Trilogy by NK Jemisin? It's fantasy but The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms has one of the most passionate love stories I've read. Nahadoth and Yeine. The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms

Thanks for that. Both of those series are on my High Fantasy list as that is a genre that I want to explore more this year.

I'm a sucker for the obsessed vampire/human love story.
Emma Holly writes some good vampire romances too.

I DNF. Life's too short.

I started reading Fire, Elemental #1. So far, so good. it's on Kindle Unlimited too.

Good call. I will try Fire, since I trust your opinion, too.

She is one of my favorite authors. I love her Guild Hunter series, too. Enjoy!

I'm a little bored."
It wasn't as good as her books usually are ....

Now I'm reading [bookcover:If You Tell: A True Story of Murder, Family Secrets, and the Unbreakab..."
I used to love the Black Dagger Brotherhood series but the later books stopped being about the romance and actually ruined happy endings for earlier couples. Have the author fixed this series?
