Thanks, Michelle. I'm really glad to hear the rest of the books are light on the FBS dump :)

Im currently reading 'One Foot in the Grave' by Jeaniene Frost.I found the series on various lists of my other fave authors (Kenyon, Moning & Ward), so wh..."

Thank-you for the welcome! :)
Im now onto book#3 (At Grave's End) cuz i stayed up all night/early morning to complete the second book cuz i was so hooked and couldnt stop! I wanted to start the 3rd book as soon as i finished the 2nd, but then thought against it since the sun was rising...
...So lets see what happens in book#3!!!!!

LMAO! I just finished To Tame A Highland Warrior and it was EXACTLY like that.

I was a little worried, because I really hated [book:Pride and..."
I am curious to hear what you think when you're finished. I saw that book at Costco a few weeks ago and wasn't sure it was worth the money. It definitely had an interesting premise.

I loved the first 278 pages of Mr Darcy, Vampyre. I thought the author was doing a good integration with Austen-esque style writing.
However, I hated the ending :( It kind of died at the climax of the book and in the end it was way too syrupy for me.

Ok, call me stupid, but where are vampire teeth supposed to come from if not the eye teeth or canines?

I was wondering the same thing.

Then again, I'm not really enthralled with the whole series anyway.
I am new to your group but it looks fun! I am reading
right now and just finished
.
As far as the fangs go...I would think that they come out of the canines...I agree with Gems, I think the fangs are to close together and they kinda look goofy. :)

And yes, I am getting worked up over something so pathetic but it's that or get seriously depressed over this critical theory essay. Whoever said Undergrads get an easy time at university LIED! Of course, if my life seems tough now, god knows how my postgrad will go.

I really like the Mercy series and so this is not quite living up to those but it is still ok. It does get frustrating because its the same ole story "he doesn't know why she is scared of him and she doesn't think he really wants her but she just can't live without him" and so therefore they never get anything done because of all the conflict :)) I can get on my soap box sometimes...sorry

Pretty good. A dark but more realistic version of the Laurell K. Hamilton world of Fae that has pervaded the market.

Ah that would explain the horrible teeth and the sheer dopeyness of his expression as if he's saying "Cheese! Look I have fangs too, aren't they pearly?!" The second set of fangs do look more realistic but again seem to be coming out of the wrong teeth which seem weird to me because it just naturally occurs to me that canines would elongate into fangs.

Actually I am pretty sure he was the real vampire. It was the convenience store clerk who was faking it to scare the boyfriend and girlfriend who came in asking if the store had tru blood.
Nita wrote: "Michelle M. wrote: "The first pic, is that the dork from the convenience store in episode 1? If so, he was faking vamp and got scared off by a real vampire. The second is Lorena, a main character a..."
I agree with Nita...he was definitely a real vamp...but his fangs were stupid! And the only reason I think Lorena look any better is because her teeth are bigger. :)

yeah, i cant really get very scared of him either...

The canine teeth are where fangs typically are (on a human) and they are the third tooth over from the two front teeth.

Looooooooooooooove It! i highly recommend that anyone read it though i'm not that far.

Also, canines = eyeteeth = vampire fangs, as far as I know. LOL. They're all synonymous, but the fangs in True Blood are too close together.
Gems, I liked the first book of the A&O series, but the couple is together by the end of the book. I think the next book is just more adventure, LOL. So, not a romance series. Her characters are actually much more developed than a lot of UF. I like PNR for the same reasons though.

For some reason I could not get into reading it past the first chapter...is it really that good? I've tried twice because I really looooove the Twilight series but couldn't stay focused on the Host...When did you get hooked?

If you can manage to get past the first couple of chapters it gets really good...it is really slow for me to get into but in the end I liked it alot.

I was noticing that too. Then again, John is still going by John. (haven't gotten to his trans yet.)

I kind of thought that was the point. Life was nothing special. It was lazy and relaxed. Now, when she leaves that lifestyle, the tempo picks up. It is like the first few chapters of Sookie Dead Until Dark.
Just finished Hunting Ground...it was good. Starting False Memory by Dean Koontz
