I'm reading Iron & Velvet by Alexis Hall. It's edgy and just the right amount of dark. Warning to those who dislike gay romance, the main character is gay. I love it, but it's not everybody's cup of tea.

I just finished Moonshadow It was really entertaining. The lead female was snarky and sarcastic but not too much. I really liked that she kept the snarky till the end, typically once the guy gets the girl she gets all sappy.

I finished Wicked Embers by Keri Arthur this week. I enjoy this series. Phoenix is a different paranormal beining not seen often. Nice change from werewolves and vampires.

I just finished reading Tales from the Shadow Hunter Academy #1. I love Cassandra Clare n all her books. This one looks specifically to Simon as well as his relationship with Isabelle. Their love is so frustrating (as always). Sometimes u just think 'hurry up n just get together'.

Just finished a re-read/catch-up of Faith Hunter's Skinwalker series...whew, she's gotten up to 10 novels, and 19 shorts (they're now bundled in one volume as Blood in Her Veins: Nineteen Stories from the World of Jane Yellowrock).

Next, I'm moving on to Thea Harrison's Dragon Bound Elder Races series.

For anyone interested, nineteen formerly scattered shorts have been conveniently gathered up into Blood in Her Veins: Nineteen Stories from the World of Jane Yellowrock.
I'm moving on to Thea Harrison's Dragon Bound series, followed by Chloe Neill's Chicagoland series.

Son of the Black Sword by Larry Corriea. he is the Monster Hunter writer. So this is a new genre for him, and not exactly Urban Fantasy, but pretty similar. I usually have a book I want to read next, but really right now, I can;'t think of a single thing I want to read. I wish they had a Urban Fantasy series minus the snarky all powerful chick. I just get really tired of them, especially the comically exaggerated ways these absurdly tough, absurdly smart women are always underestimated by absurdly faux powerful men. Its just annoying. No more Mary Sues that kick butt all day long. Please. Any suggestions?

Finished both and The first one was a fantastic end to the series. The second one, well, there is never a bad Mercy Thompson book but this wasn't one of my favs.
