message 36258: by Lisa (new)

Lisa | 11 comments I started this series this weekend and am on the 6th book, almost done with it, they make me laugh out loud! The story line is great, and can't wait to see how this all plays out...

I wish the author would use another word than palpable, the word is way over used in this series. I don't like when they do that, can't remember what author over used the word womb, but it's drives me crazy when they do it! Use a thesaurus and find a different word or phase please!!!

Debi (debisattic) | 157 comments Just finished Sunshine by Robin McKinley
It was an impulse buy, but enjoyed the Urban fantasy. Seems like a set up for more books but it's not. Too bad.

Reading Demon Hunting With a Dixie Deb (Demon Hunting, #4) by Lexi George
Demon Hunting series by Lexi George is a fun series with southern fried humor.

Crazy4more (lan-ni) | 3071 comments Reading Manwhore +1 (Manwhore, #2) by Katy Evans and loving it

message 36264: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Wheeler | 386 comments I just started The Binding by Victoria Clapton. I'm a few pages in and enjoying it a lot. One of the things I like the most about the books I've read by this author is she has the ability to catch my interest and draw me into to the story from the very beginning. It's like her story lines and characters just hop off the page. I'm excited about getting deeper into the book.

message 36265: by Ashlee (new)

Ashlee Read Big Rock by Lauren Blakely over the weekend and loved it! Can't wait to read Mister O by Lauren Blakely now but I'll have to wait til next weekend for that one

Have also recently read To Hate Adam Connor by Ella Maise which was fantastic and I started Hitched Volume One (Imperfect Love, #1) by Kendall Ryan but it just didn't really grab me which was unfortunate because I've enjoyed Kendall Ryan's other books and was really looking forward to this one.

Christine | 1127 comments Rereading Kate Daniels, via audiobook, and I just started my favorite Magic Strikes (Kate Daniels, #3) by Ilona Andrews . There is something about the banter between Kate and Curran in this one that I just love. And I also enjoy the Midnight Games plotline.

message 36269: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Wheeler | 386 comments I love the Kate Daniels series too. The best part is that all of the characters, not just the main ones, are fleshed out. I enjoy the complex relationships and the twists and turns in the story lines.

ohhhh I completely forgot about this - should I start it before the 4th book then?

message 36272: by ♥ Ashleigh ♥ (new)

♥ Ashleigh ♥ Contrary to popular belief I'm not actually mad! (cheshire_red) Re-read Fair Game (Alpha & Omega, #3) by Patricia Briggs and it was AWESOME. I did have a review, but it seems GRs deleted it when I made the book 'currently reading' which is annoying as i don't have a backup. But I believe i rated it around 4 stars, which i'll be going again. Thinking 4.5
Also re-read Frost Burned (Mercy Thompson, #7) by Patricia Briggs though i remembered almost nothing from either book, so it was really good to catch up on everything.

Read Dead Heat (Alpha & Omega #4) by Patricia Briggs which i really enjoyed. And i would love to get a start on Night Broken (Mercy Thompson, #8) by Patricia Briggs but it will unfortunately have to wait till i get home from my mum's. So instead I started The Golden Princess (Emberverse, #11) by S.M. Stirling and it was rather terrible. I only got 9 pages in before I quit, pretty sure thats a record for me.
So now I'm re-reading The Better Part of Darkness (Charlie Madigan, #1) by Kelly Gay and I have noticed a few issues that I don't recall from my first time reading it, that are bugging me, but I plan of finishing the next 3 books so I can finally get a start on the forth book.

Denise Nanna | 1321 comments Been away for a month and read
The Curse of Tenth Grave (Charley Davidson, #10) by Darynda Jones and loved it.
The Last Star (The 5th Wave, #3) by Rick Yancey and was an ok ending.
Shadowstorm (Shadow World, #6) by Dianne Sylvan and enjoyed it. Is that a self published book?
Heir to Sevenwaters (Sevenwaters, #4) by Juliet Marillier and thats the last book I read of the series. Getting a bit repetitive.
Now starting Perfect Ruin (Internment Chronicles, #1) by Lauren DeStefano

♥ Ashleigh ♥ Contrary to popular belief I'm not actually mad! (cheshire_red) finished The Better Part of Darkness (Charlie Madigan, #1) by Kelly Gay dropping a star, now rating 3.

Next will be either Touch by Mark Sennen In the Skin of a Monster by Kathryn Barker or if those two displease me then I'll rage quit and read Night Broken (Mercy Thompson, #8) by Patricia Briggs because Briggs is amazing and a guaranteed good read.

I actually started with Alpha and Omega series and totally enjoy it. I like that the character building is very strong and the story plots are quite complicate that anything can happen.
