Claudia Ayala (claudia_ayala) | 149 comments Finished A Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy, #1) by Deborah Harkness , Shadow of Night (All Souls Trilogy, #2) by Deborah Harkness and The Book of Life (All Souls Trilogy, #3) by Deborah Harkness . They were good... and long. I really liked the story, although it was a bit complicated due to the number of historical elements involved. I had trouble with one character that seemed to become a "part of the gang" out of the blue.

Also read The Dirt on Ninth Grave (Charley Davidson, #9) by Darynda Jones . Gave it 4 stars.

Crazy4more (lan-ni) | 3071 comments Finished Opening Up (Ink & Chrome, #1) by Lauren Dane , it took all my doubt to finish this book because it's LD. It was decent and I'll finish the series.

Angel Rose | 29 comments listening to Dark Prince

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 229 comments Finished Shadow Sight (Ivy Granger, #1) by E.J. Stevens , I liked the Unicorn bits. Sadly I will not be continuing with the series.

Mastered (The Enforcers, #1) by Maya Banks . . . I can't believe Banks wrote it. If you're a Banks fan borrow/library it. If you're new to Banks, start some where else. Ugh.

Decided to start up my reread/catch-up on the Morganville Vampire books. At least I know I can't go wrong with Glass Houses (The Morganville Vampires, #1) by Rachel Caine .

Denise Nanna | 1321 comments Just finished Daughter of the Forest (Sevenwaters, #1) by Juliet Marillier and I cant say enough great things about it. It has the wonderful story and descriptive writing and scope of Outlander and I had a hard time putting it down once the story was laid out. Dont judge it by the cover.

Now moving on to Son of the Shadows (Sevenwaters, #2) by Juliet Marillier

message 35911: by KritikaB (new)

KritikaB | 103 comments I'm currently catching up on the newly released books but, the progress is very slow.
I'm reading Mercury Striking (The Scorpius Syndrome, #1) by Rebecca Zanetti . The first couple chapters took me some times to get a grip on the situation but, now I didn't want to put it down.
The next highly anticipated books in line for me will be Imitation and Alchemy (Elemental Legacy #2) by Elizabeth Hunter and Night Study (Soulfinders, #2) by Maria V. Snyder .

message 35912: by Christine (new)

Christine | 1127 comments I finished listening to Hard Magic (Grimnoir Chronicles, #1) by Larry Correia and am almost done with Spellbound (Grimnoir Chronicles, #2) by Larry Correia and enjoyed both.

In print, I read Alice by Christina Henry which was different and interesting. I'm not sure how much I really liked it, but I'll probably check out the next book when it's released. Now, I'm trying the author's other work with Black Wings (Black Wings, #1) by Christina Henry which I'm having fun with. Seems like a promising start to a series.

message 35913: by Amber (new)

Amber (bookvampirewub) | 23 comments I am reading The Auran Chronicles Message Bearer by M.S. Dobing

It is a book like no other. It definitely is a high fantasy, and paranormal. Gives you a whole new take on demons, as well as other things. It has a lot of violence in it, as well as action. It is totally engrossing. Worth the read.

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 229 comments Glass Houses (The Morganville Vampires, #1) by Rachel Caine actually did go wrong. It's been something like 10 years since I first read it so, oops. Hopefully I'll like the other more.

Abby | 353 comments I'm kinda sorta working my way through a re read of Worth the Fall (The McKinney Brothers, #1) by Claudia Connor while watching the Superbowl

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 229 comments I finished up Kiss of Steel (London Steampunk, #1) by Bec McMaster , which was a very promising start to the series. Though I could have done with more technology/steampunk and world building. It was nice that there was chemistry between the lovebirds. And--gasp--the male lead was an actual gentleman! Not a jerk.

Started up River Marked (Mercy Thompson, #6) by Patricia Briggs . I'm a little nervous about how much page time Adam and Mercy will actually get together. Even though they're actually already (view spoiler) where I've read to.

message 35927: by Grace (new)

Grace McCabe (grace_mccabe) | 7 comments What I'm reading right now:

Blood Kiss: Black Dagger Legacy by J.R. Ward

I'm about halfway into the book, and I have to say that this is the best Black Dagger Brotherhood book I've read in quite some time. I thought a couple of the previous books got off track, and I was losing interest in the series. But Blood Kiss is a refreshing return to the way the series was in the beginning (in my humble opinion anyway). The primary couple in the story are very good, a lot of sexual tension between Paradise (don't care for the name, lol) and Craeg, who's a vampire. They're both trainees to become official members of the Brotherhood.

Anyway, don't want to too many details, but really liking the book so far!

I think you should give a try to one of her newer stories. ;)
