I'm almost done listening to Dead Men's Boots (Felix Castor, #3) by Mike Carey which has been pretty good.

Loved LOTU and love NS's P/C series. You should also try out her Guild-Hunter series.
Have you read any of Kresley Cole's Immortal After Dark series? That's a great one too.

Denise Nanna | 1321 comments Starting Made to Be Broken (Nadia Stafford #2) by Kelley Armstrong .

Can anyone suggest a Christine Feehan book to start with? I want to try her out and want to start with something really good to keep me going with her books. She has so many that I hope to like her writing.

message 34563: by Veronica (last edited Jan 13, 2015 10:48AM) (new)

Veronica Rosa (veronicadelrosa) I really enjoyed her Dark series. Of course, that's her longest series. *laughs* However, her Ghostwalker series is also decent. Umm, I also liked her Leopard series. So I guess I'm not help at all. I guess it depends on if you like vampires or shifters or paranormal humans. :)

I did enjoy this one and it's a great jump into her writing. Shadow Game

I would take any of those genres.

message 34565: by Veronica (new)

Veronica Rosa (veronicadelrosa) I'd suggest then to start with her Ghostwalker series. It deals with paranormal humans working for the government. The government turns on them and they're trying to find others like them. Really good series and I think there was only one book that I wasn't overly fond of.

message 34566: by Fiona (Titch) (new)

Fiona (Titch) Hunt (titch) I finished and loved Fall of Night - Rachel Caine. Her books are marvellous, shame Daylighters is her final book of this series. But that is what I will read next on Kindle 1. I gave up on 13:24: A Story of Faith and Obsession - M. Dolon Hickmon due to the Child Abuse I was reading in the story. I couldn't cope with the storyline as it was, so I said so (that was from Netgalley). So I will put Follow The Leader - Mel Sherratt on Kindle 2 to read afterwards.

I'm so waiting for my copy of The Darkest Touch (Lords of the Underworld, #11) by Gena Showalter to arrive! Did you like it? There are different reviews about it: some say it's too tame, some liked it very much...

I read it a little while back and I wasn't as impressed with it. Torin's personality changed and didn't feel like the immortal I feel in love with. I gave it 3 stars as I did like some parts.

I enjoyed it. We haven't ever really gotten much from Torin so it was nice to see him develop more. It wasn't the best LOTU I have read, but it was better than some others.

Christine | 1127 comments Reading and loving Universal Alien (Katherine "Kitty" Katt, #10) by Gini Koch . This may just be my favorite of the entire series. All of the fun without most of the little things that annoy me in many of the other books.

Also finished listening to Low Midnight (Kitty Norville, #13) by Carrie Vaughn which I enjoyed more than I thought I would since she switched POV from Kitty to Cormac.

Up next on audio is Festive in Death (In Death, #39) by J.D. Robb

Fiona (Titch) Hunt (titch) Early hours this morning, I finished Follow The Leader - Mel Sherratt, which I found really enthralling. I've also read and finished Daylighters & Fall of Night - Rachel Caine which I absolutely adored, but unfortunately it was the last 2 books in the series, 13:24: A Story of Faith and Obsession - M. Dolon Hickmon, I disliked the book for the extra part which was to do with child abuse. Now I am going to read The Woman In Black - Kerry Wilkinson.
