I see some of you reading the Rock chicks. I loved that series. It's here best work. I did not connect with any of the others she's written as well as the rock chicks.

so my attempt at reading City of Golden Shadow failed. i got up to 19% before i quit. it wasnt terrible but the bloody thing is 700+ pages long and i just wasnt interested in it enough to read something that sized. plus it was rather confusing, with the constant changing of POV with no explanation.

So i moved onto which im quite enjoying so fr. the characters are quite lovely.

Oberon Boxed Set #1: Welcome to Oberon I'm enjoying the Californian town of Oberon and its tangled, amazing community so much. PG Forte is a writer friend and I knew she was a good writer, but Oberon is blowing me away. Totally love this mix of magic, women's fiction and romance.

Does anyone else know the Diana Tregarde series from Mercedes Lackey? This is like that but the characters are older and established in their lives.

Addictive -- so you've been warned :)

I wrote a review about it here, but in short it has an awesome heroine named Kate Daniels -- no-nonsense, butt-kicking gal. Just the kind of heroine I like!

I am about three chapters in..... (#two out of three book trilogy) - So far so good.
I read the reviews and either they are 5 star stupendous or 2 star disappointed. I love the author and LOVED her This Man trilogy...so I have high hopes for this one.

I was reading but gave up reading it at around 50 to 60%. Didn't really like it which is a shame because I loved most of the books in Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress series.

@Jane - I love the Kate Daniels series. The author recently started a new series with and that has such a powerful hero. I'm debating with myself whether he's a sociopath :) but definitely sexy and redeemable.

I did manage to finish it Michaela but it took a lot for me to do it. I can't believe that it just turned me off that much because like you I live Frost's writing.

I've not gotten into audiobooks, Tracy. Though I know others swear by them. I've heard people saying that they can have two voices these days - male and female for the different parts. It's becoming its own art form, maybe. Like old fashioned radio shows :)
