What are you reading right now?
Between the Fever books and Highlanders, is there a reading order?

According to SK's website Night Pleasures is the first book, and I guess technically it is the first dark-hunter story. Fantasy Lover is considered related reading, another book in the dh universe. However, the characters you meet in Fantasy Lover come back in almost every dark-hunter book, and I couldn't imagine not having read that one first.
Tara,See, that's what I'm saying!! I totally agree, Fantasy Lover should be called what it is.. book 1! I say we start a petition, a support group, an alliance!

No, you have the right official release date. Some WalMarts actually put it out almost 2 weeks early.

Hey guys. Just thought I would add my 2 cents (books).Right now I'm reading Uglies by Scott Westerfeld. I have all four in the series checked out from the library, but I'm not sure I'm going to read the last three. This series, for those who haven't read it, is based in the far future where people are considered "ugly" until they are 16 years old and given an operation to make them "pretty." I'll probably forgo reading the rest until a later date, if at all. I just haven't gotten into it. Have any of you read this series and if so should I finish the series?
I'll probably read the Highlander series by Karen Marie Moning next.
My 28 year old daughter loved the series... there is a lot to be learned about what "pretty" and "ugly" really are.It seems to be an easy enough read, so I would give it a chance if I were you. If not now, then in the near future...
She did say that it gets much better after book 1.

You're welcome! Not everyone likes the same books, but it might be worth giving it a little more time.

Lynsay Sands new book comes out Tuesday. Renegade Hunter. Next in series of Argeneau Vampire series/Rogue Hunter series.

The best way I can describe it is a vampire family that in each book one finds there other half. They are funny and entertaining. Mostly non-violent vampire books, unlike a lot of them. The first in the series is "A Quick Bite".
ok thanks, t would be interesting to try a series like this, which seems a lot light hearted compared to others of this type genre.. not that i don't love the darker ones too.I'll look into them.

I didnt like that series! After book 1 (not sure how i made it through book 1 really) I quit. It was highly recommended but I guess I need a more adult paranormal/fantasy read to lure me in, it just didnt have enough to hook me but I stuck it out till the end to make sure. A lot of people seem to like this series though...
I need to catch up on the Argeneaus! For the most part, they're hilarious.

Then go on to the Fever series. It will make alot more sense when the MacKeltars are mentioned from the highland series.
Also, if you are looking for "into the dreaming" a short story at the end of the higland series, I have it. Posted it on half.com, It's hard to find. It's inside a book of shorts calle "Tapestry"
Hi all, I wanted to share a series I'm reading."the Others" series by Christine Warren. it's PNR and right up our alley with vampires, werewolves and fae.
I also just finished Kresley Cole's Immortals after Dark series. That was amazing.
Both are a MUST read.
I am struggling to read Wally Lamb's "I know this much is true"... its been a week, and I can't seem to get past the first few chapters! it does have the wonderful side effect of putting me to sleep, which I cannot say for alot of the PNR and UF books I read!!!So, to mix it up a little, I have Nightkeepers by jessica Andersen, and the second maxine kiss book by marjorie liu (can't remember the title...)I am not loving either of them, and am seriously contemplating a re-read of KM Monings Fever series...
Reading The Treasure Keeper by Shanna Abe. Love her take on dragon shifters. Her writing style is so different from the contemporaries I normally read and it's historical, which I don't read at all but I do read Abe.
I am just about to start Dark Desire
by Christine Feehan. It's the second in the Carpathian Series .. really excited to get stuck in!

which is actually the 4th (and last) book in Kathy Love's Young Brothers series. The 1st and the 2nd were not bad, I really enjoyed the 3rd so I am excited to read the 4th, plus I love finishing a series.
I'm reading Enchanted, Inc. right now. I am *loving* it. Has anyone else read this book? It's a really unique story to me :)
Just starting to read Dark Hunter `Fantasy Lover`by Sherrilynn Kenyon..hope it`s good because I raced through the 4 `Fever`books by Karen Marie Moning and am anxiously waiting to read her 5th and final book...so I NEED some good reading until then!

FlibBityFLooB, Swendson's series is so cute! I really enjoyed it. All the gargoyles are hysterical. It's even more fun to me because I live in NY. I was disappointed to see on her website that she didn't get signed to do any more books. Such a shame! I certainly would've bought them.

I am enjoying this first book so much that I just went and bought the other three books in the series! I just went to her website and it says she even partially started writing book 5. Maybe more people on goodreads will read the series so she can get it published. It seems so interesting to me :)

Reading Lair of the Lion and am finally getting into the story. This is my 3rd attempt to read it - the farthest I ever got before was 2 chapters before I set it aside, but now it's obvious I gave up too soon. Presently on p. 77 and things are happening!
FlibBityFLooB, start pushing it on everyone! I've gotta get out my Peer Pressure Wench dancing shoes...The end of the fourth book does wrap up the story arc at least. You won't be left hanging. But knowing she has a fifth book half written just kills me!
According to her Blog, she read excerpts from book 5 at a recent con. Perhaps that will help her generate some buzz.
Yz, Owen IS so cute! The whole series is adorable and funny. Light without being cutesy. She says it's sort of Bridget Jones meets Harry Potter.

The series becomes SOOO addicting! I read the most recent (Dreamfever) yesterday in about four hours, and just like the previous book, it ends in a complete cliffhanger! There is only one more book to go, so I will be looking for it as soon as it is finished! I thought the first book was a little hard to get into as well, but once you get sucked into Mac's world, it's really hard to get away! LOL Enjoy!
