I just love this thread. I find some really great reads from you all. I'm reading the new Mercy Thompson. I'm only about a third through it and I'm not sure how I feel. It seems sort of disorganized. There are a a couple of different things going on that don't seem to fit together. That is not sto say I'm not enjoying it! I love Mercy Thompson! I jsut feel like my attention is being divided by various threads. Anyone else feel that way?

Started listening to but the narrator was so not what I would have wanted, so I out it aside for a while. And turned to listening to - the reading is so much brighter and the rises and downs of the voice are umch better :)

I LOVED the entire story Rachel. And yes, I can see why both Evanjalin and Froi would come off in a negative light. But I thought that due to what their characters went through (although everyone went through stuff in the story) their actions fit their characters well. I can only imagine what it must have been like for Evanjalin living day to day with all of that on her. And Froi, what an interesting character, which I'm sure we'll find out the why's of his nature and experiences in book 2, but from his actions and thoughts in book 1, he just lived acting on primal instinct, just doing whatever to survive and what he knew, to get by and simply survive. As he said "she and I are alike, we do whatever needs to be done because the important thing is to stay alive". Like I said, I'm totally in love with this story, characters, writing, EVERYTHING. Can't wait to get to book 2 :)

Love this series. I just listened to which was pretty good for a novella. Now I'm starting . Then I guess I just have to wait for the next one to be released. : (

Also, reading . I absolutely hate the plot line with Christy, but I kind of like how Mercy is handling it. She's being so disgustingly mature about so far, at least in front of the pack. But I just don't get the rest of the pack (view spoiler)[ why is Christy, a human, a better mate for Adam than Mercy, who is also a shape-shifter? Is it just because she's like a submissive and brings out their protective nature? Their alpha divorced the woman and she's all but abandoned her daughter, so I don't see how any in the pack can have any respect for her, so it has to be the whole submissive thing that she has going for her. But is that really what you want in your alpha's mate. I just don't get it. But I can't wait for Mercy to finally put her in her place. (hide spoiler)]

Finished took me forever to finish this heart wrenching, war torn, mother-daughter relationship... Well written and extremely well read by Susan Ericksen. In fact, it was Susan who introduced me to Hannah's books. I've listened to everything she has read... yes, she's that good!
