I'd suggest Mahogany Sin (Valerie Chambers, #1) by Kellee Gilmore . In the nature of full disclosure, this is my novel. I do believe it may have all the elements you are looking for. Take peek at the description and read the reviews on Amazon to see if its something you might enjoy.

She is certainly a force to be reckoned with and it appears there is even more to her than meets the eye. One moment towards the end that was a little bittersweet and sad - which surprised me on how it struck me. Can't wait until Vampire Sun(no book cover yet)

You should give the second one a chance, I have read all three know and the waiting for the fourth. The only thing I do not like are the cliffhanger endings though you do know where it will start.

I am a bit nervous as to whether I can fall in love with Dimitri after his smarmy behaviour in previous books. I am also nervous about how NS will deal with the trauma of Honor's past.... hope its not just the "magic of sex" that heals her but it is dealt with honestly.

Janice (janicepl) | 19 comments Right now I am reading Complete Me by J. Kenner, its the 3rd book in her Stark trilogy. Its alright, but at this point, its the same stuff, different title. Its become very predictable. Once I finish this, I'm on to the latest Gena Showalter Lords of the Underworld. I love her books and writing and imagination! So I know I'll be done with that one in a day!

Christy (christy_kennedy) | 184 comments My daughter just gave me her copy of the book City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1) by Cassandra Clare to read and I have got to say that after reading the reviews for this book, I'm not sure I really want to read it. If I'm understanding it, people are pissed because the author has taken parts from her fanfiction stories(based on Harry Potter, if I read right) and copied this into the Mortal Instruments. A ton of terrible reviews for the book. Has anyone read this book/series? If so, what do you think? Waste of time and move on? Or give it a go.
Thanks.

I have mixed feelings about this book and the series in general. Yes, it's well written but there were elements of the story that I really did not like that involve the love relationship between the main characters.
