I'm currently reading the House of Night series by Kristin Cast. It's a different take on vampires! Believe me when I say I have read a lot of vampire and werewolf books, so it's cool to come across books with a different angle. So in a lot of vampire books you have to be bitten and drained to become a vampire but in this series a Vampire Tracker marks you with a crescent moon on your forehead. Once this happens you must go to the House of Night which basically is a school to help you through the changes of becoming a vampire. I'm on the second book of the series and I can't put them down! I recommend this book to anyone who likes vampires!

I am reading From Bad to Cursed(Bad Girls don't die #2) by Katie Alender . I finished the first book in a few days so I am curious if this one is going to be as good and captivating as the first. Has anyone read any book from this series? ^^

I've never heard of this series, but it sounds very interesting. And my library even has it! Another one for the TBR pile.

I really want to start a new Paranormal Romance series but I've been wondering which one. I've been torn between , or but I think I've finally decided to read The Darkest Night. Although I'm a bit weary to start the series as it sounds a lot like the Black Dagger Brotherhood and although I love the BDB I wouldn't want the Lords of the Underworld series to be completely the same. Has anyone read both the BDB and the Lords of the Underworld? If so, how'd you like them?

I have read BDB & LotU and I don't think they are similar. Yes, they are a brotherhood, but the writing style is quite different.I enjoy both, but BDB is on a much higher level of story-telling in my opinion. Much better series. I am one book 6 in Lord of the Underworlds and BDB is a much more engaging storyline. Although I really like LotU.

I have read all 4 series and here is my order of preference:
1) BDB
2) Guild Hunter
3) Lords of the Underworld
4) Elder Races

I would recommend you go with the Guild Hunter series by Nalini Singh.
But if you like stuff dealing with the gods and mythological themes, then you might want to go with LotU. I have read all the Elder races, and I only loved 2 books. .

No they are definitely not the same. I prefered Lords of the Underworld to BDB. Guild Hunter and Elder races are also both excellent series.

I just started Affliction in the Anita Blake series. I think its the 22nd book . she keeps prolonging the series but I'm still living in Anita's world so its okay.

What is wrong with me? I love Nalini Singh. I loved Psy-Changeling. Everybody loves Guild Hunter, but I'm really struggling with it. I loved , but I didn't care for and I just finished and I didn't like it either. It felt kind of repetitive of the previous book to me. I will still continue the series, I just hope I like the next one better.

Everyone's different. I'm actually the exact opposite of you. I didn't like Angels' Blood, liked the second one more, the third one even more, and I loved Dmitri's book. I think that I just find Raphael's Seven to be more interesting than Raphael and Elena.

Christine, I'm there with you about Raphael and Elena! As much as I love them and enjoy reading their stories, I also like to get to know new characters, and see how they cope with finding their HEAs so I'm more intrigued by the Seven :)

I love Psy-Changeling. I felt the same as you...liked the first book, second was okay, never made it through the third with Guild Hunters.

I finished ... I liked parts of it, but not others. I thought it was too unbelievable how much Sarah and Roland had in common.... organic eaters, favorite color, and then her DNA just coincidentally being the rare DNA she wanted. But I felt the book did get better towards the end and makes me hopeful that I'll like the next one better.
