It was a terribly long wait between last year's release and this year's after the way she ended book 3. What a cliffhanger! Fortunately, I love a good cliffhanger, but it was driving me crazy waiting to see how she'd get herself out of that situation.

R. Shea (rleoniashea) | 6 comments I am reading Angel's Ink: The Asylum Tales by Jocelynn Drake and it is so good I can't wait to see what happens next. It takes place in a tattoo parlor (among other interesting locations) and involves a tattoo artist, a former warlock in training, an elf, a shapeshifter, warlocks, a troll, and a bunch of other interesting characters. I'm not finished yet, but it's well worth the read so far. It's funny, surprising, and I really like the characters.

Kassandra Townsend | 1 comments I'm currently reading Lara Adrian's midnight breed series and loving it especially since I am in book mourning after finishing the brotherhood series (J.R Ward)
5 vampires called the order fight to keep the rogue vampire population in Boston low or wipe out them all if they have their way.
This series follows the format of the brotherhood series so closely I sometimes have to take a second to remind myself of which books characters and story lines I'm reading lol having Said that it is every bit as good and engaging lots of battles and heart in your throat moments. Each book follows mainly one character and their journey into love that they never thought they would have and never had a need for

I was wondering about your spoiler myself while reading book 4. I don't really think she'll go there, but that's just my own personal preference. I'm kind of hoping she's just trying to make a point about how emotionally close and connected different people can be without it having to be sexual. But we'll see in the next book... she never fails to surprise me.

I did an ACR of Guilded Destiny and I just fell in love with it. The way the story flows makes you not want to put it down. So far I'm not getting into This Beautiful Thing but I am also not that far into it. Excited to read Forsaken, the first one got me hooked and I may just put aside the other one to start Forsaken.

Yes, I agree with you. I think after all the kerfuffle about what happened between D and D in Shadowflame she wouldn't go there again but it makes sense that three characters with such strong feelings for each would gradually form a really strong emotional bond.

Lisa, I'm giving anything away, you need to read the books in order, I'm so drawn into these characters that anything can happen and I'm ok with it bc the writing's that good, IMO. You have to get to book 2 bc we'll find out if you're with me or not... either way it's fine but it's interesting to see where our tastes in books stand.

Sorry If I confused you, I have read all the books in order. After a WTF moment in book 2 with "that" incident I'm actually fine with it and understand where the writer was coming from. I don't think it will be re-visited but I think Dianne Sylvan did write the last book where the idea of the three of them was a possibility but much more likely an emotional one not a physical one. Miranda and Deven definitely have an closeness now that was not possible before.
