Chase's book is one of my favorites of the series.
I liked Gone Country. It wasn't my favorite in the series but it's awesome. I love Gavin, he's such a great dad. Rielle was a fantastic, independent heroine. L.J also showed a lot with Gavin's 17 yr old daughter, and I'm really hoping she'll do a spin off of that story line but ffwd a few years.
One of the things I liked was how "real" it was. I don't know how to describe without spoilers, but it wasn't your typical sexy Alpha male who knows how to make the heroine scream. The hero and heroine both have some insecurities and I liked that. He was definitely not the typical McKay cowboy. It was also great because there was a lot about him making his place in the family. Gavin is adopted so all the relationships are new. I enjoyed that part of the story as well.
Sorry, I just realized that was a bit like a book report. LOL I was trying to be brief.

I so have to start Magnus Pack and Pride series. They have been sitting there staring at me for ages!

Thanks for you "brief" review!!! I love it. Ahhhh...don't tell me about Chase. I think my library just forgot and skipped over him by mistake. To me, LJ wrote outside the box paying great attention to characterization, emotional plots and blessed with plenty of hot hot hot scenes.

Like my friends suggested and convinced me how much I'll love these series...of course they're right. Fun-sexy and fast-paced. I'll be reading Pride soon.

I'm now onto The Darkest Surrender, slowly getting there but I am looking forward to a change when I'm done

which I'm loving as well. Really like A.L. Jackson's writing too :)

Please help me out here. I am on Chapter 14 (which just happens to be 14% of the way through the book-a long read) of
and I am bored. I have heard that it is really good but there is so much world building and names of people and places that are hard to keep track of and there was not much going on in the story. Anyone out there want to let me know if you think it is worth reading that very long book?

I just finished Rapture in Death this morning and it was the best so far. Are you reading or listening? This series I actually prefer to listen to on audio. Normally, I find audio books so cheesy but the narrator for this series is AMAZING. She really brings Roarke to life with the Irish accent. In fact, she does all the accents and inflections so well I get sucked right in.

I have heard that it is real..."Denise please keep going, the story starts after Phedre is under Anafiel's wing. Just a little bit more...AND I must admit, the names drove me nuts too. My library has audiobook, the narrator with the proper French accent and pronounciation made the storyline even more exotic. I know I would have butchered all the names hands down. Another talented narrator not to be missed!

Oh goodness, I so want to read this Rough Riders series too :P have most of them on my kindle now. Just missing a couple and then I plan on reading them at some point this in 2013 LOL! They all sound amazing and HOT!
