So now I'm switching to my first Ilona Andrews series with

Oh I LOVE this series!"
I can't put it down. I started reading it on November 1st and only paused for one book in between.

I liked this one too! Very different but good."
I think the combo of HR and PNR is great!

Nina, I LOVE this series."
Everybody keeps telling me that this series is the bomb, but I read the prequel and I wasn't that much impressed. By I'll give it a try. With so many people telling me how this is, somebody must know what they're saying. ;)

I liked that one too. Though I think #2 is still my favorite.
Finished reading

And I'm listening to the Audio

Now that you've mentioned it, I think I have a tie between the two books. LOVED Trevor and Zoe together. *-*

I don't think you can appreciate the "prequel" until you've read the first few books of the series. Even though it's chronologically set before the series, you need the character development and world building from the first two or so books to really understand it. (I think it was actually written after book 2 or 3.)
This would be why I usually skip prequels and novellas, unless it's a series with which I'm already obsessed. That being said, while I love Downside it's not a series for everyone. Hopefully, you'll like the books more than the prequel.

Yeah, I'm not one to read prequels either, but after I read the prequel for Kate Daniels and the character actually participates in the main story, I thought this would be a good idea with this series too. Guess not.
The other thing that I keep hearing about this series is that is not your garden variaty series, but something deeper. I'm actually looking forward to that. :)

I had read

I'm currently reading Taken by Storm. Is there a 4th book in this series? I thought Taken by Storm was the last in the series.

I thought Taken by Storm was the last one also, but that the author might revisit the world of the series at a later date. She has a new book coming out next year that sounds interesting.

That series is addicting....such a long wait for book 5 though....next summer.

Oo what did you think? Let me know when you start Fate's Edge ( if you are going to read it in the next month or so), and Ill start it too!

Scratch that... I just recieved my copy of

And also reading

I love that series! I've been shuffling my feet about getting Jason's story though.

Is this book connected to her other series? I wanted to read it but didn't know if I should read the other ones first.

Jason's story was awesome Danielle. Guild Hunter is one of my favorite series!!!

yes it is. I don't have my list of the reading order with me. Give me a few minutes I'll see if I can find the order for you.

You should definitely read Night Huntress first Danielle. It is a spin off of one of her characters (Vlad Tepesh - aka Dracula) but it helps to have an idea of how he fits in with Cat & Bones. Night Huntress is a great series. Highly recommended!!!

1. Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress Series)
2. One Foot in the Grave (Night Huntress Series)
3. At Graves End (Night Huntress Series)
4. Destined for an Early Grave (Night Huntress Series)
5. First Drop of Crimson (Night Huntress World)
6. Eternal Kiss of Darkness (Night Huntress World)
7. This Side of the Grave (night Huntress Series)
8. One Grave at a time (Night Huntress Series)
9. Once Burned (Night Prince Series)
They are all very good, hope this helps

Definitely read the Night Huntress and spin-off books first or you will be majorly spoiled by Once Burned.
