That's what I'd do! It's hard to read after finishing Downside nothing ever compares to it.

Nothing quite compares to Downside. A friend asked me if Downside is as good as Kate Daniels (which she knows is a personal favorite of mine) and I had to tell her there was just no way to make a comparison between the two. Downside, for me, is on it's own special plane of existence.

I'm halfway through Sacrificial Magic (Downside Ghosts, #4) by Stacia Kane and I'm dreading what I'll do next month when I finish Chasing Magic and have no more Downside to read until sometime next year.

Estelle (E) (vivelafantasy) | 256 comments @ Magda: I am!!!
@ Jenne: I've had this feeling after Angelfall. Now I think Angelfall would have saved me after Downside you see... maybe a reread?
@ Christine: I'm dreading it too. You're right. Downside is just different.
I guess you can compare the darkness of the worlds of Kate Daniels' and Downside and that both Kate and Chess are proper Loners! don't-need-anyone kind of girls. (well anyone but Terrible and Curran of course)

I guess dark characters and worlds are appealing then!

message 26806: by Nina (new)

Nina (msralways) | 528 comments ALmost done with Biting Cold (Chicagoland Vampires, #6) by Chloe Neill and I can totally understand that some people thinks the author went all the way to the beginning of the series in relation to Merit and Ethan's, but the problem now is different and I can totally understand the problem now. Everything is different after the last book and things changed for them. I really like where this is going!

message 26835: by Jordy (new)

Jordy (jordycrazyromanceaddict) I have to say I really liked Larissa Ione's Lords of Deliverance series but I think it was only because I read her Demonica series first. I liked how both worlds were connected. I wouldn't mind having my own hellhound puppy!!

Oh, and I'm currently reading The Dream Hunter (Dream-Hunter, #1) by Sherrilyn Kenyon . Decided to revisit one of my very first PNR series. So far so good for the first ten pages. LOL

Yes, I greatly enjoyed the shower scene in First Drop of Crimson:)

Sillylittlefishey | 1025 comments I finished reading Fourth Grave Beneath My Feet (Charley Davidson, #4) by Darynda Jones and I really enjoyed it, and I think you girls will too:) It doesn't have as much action as some of the others but it's hilarious! I was a little bummed that there wasn't much Donovan in it though:( But I'll take Reyes any day.....that boy is just sexy hot! You know I love a bad boy!

Now I'm back in Jeanenine's world with Eternal Kiss of Darkness (Night Huntress World, #2) by Jeaniene Frost

Shawn | 375 comments Shari Kay .. Yes, I really like it .. it starts out a little slow, but as many firsts in a series, the characters and their place in the story is explained, the foundation for future stories is laid and most of the excitement is saved for the end ... I'm on the second book and I'm loving it ... It is also very different from most of the other shifter books I've read ... great imagination.

message 26849: by [deleted user] (last edited Oct 20, 2012 05:17PM) (new)

Just finished T.M.T.N; kissing cousins, and loved it loved it.

I love how you get to see the characters develope a bit more in book since the first book T.B.M.D; Arieanna's Legend.

I also like that book two focuses a bit more on the vamp side this time.

Now, I'm off to read, Once burned a Contemporary, and Ms. Infante's third installment T.C.B.M; the Arvantes
