What are you reading right now?

I hope you started with the Aisling Grey series and the Silver Dragons before starting the Light Dragons. It would be way too confusing. Light Dragons is not a stand alone. I never bothered to read her vampire series so cant have an opinion on those books.

Oh thank you so much for the tip :) but before any of these i'm planning to read The Elemental Mysteries series by Elizabeth Hunter first because I'm literally dying to read it :D

Now I don't know what to start next

now I'm onto not at the same time I don't think lol...

I loved the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. I'm always looking for a good series. You mentioned it's not one of your favorite book series, what's your favorite?"
Hi..."
Michaela, you so need to to read KMM's Highlander series, I LOVED it & couldn't get enough of them. Night Huntress is one of my fav's too & now right up there with it is the Dark Hunter series :)

David Wellington books:
Laura Caxton
1. 13 Bullets (2007)
2. 99 Coffins (2007)
3. Vampire Zero (2008)
4. 23 Hours (2009)
5. 32 Fangs (2012)

I started Rachel Cain'e Weather Warden over a year ago but put it down to read all of the Night Huntress books so I didn't get back to it but from what I've been told it's def not Y/A. I have read all the Morganville books apart from Dark Swan lol since getting my kindle I don't really like paperbacks & since P.A. got me addicted to NH I have read BDB & all the other good adult PNR. So it's really hard for me to go back to YA. Only the other night I read a novella to do with Vampire Academy series & I hated it. It's just not doing it for me & Dark Swan has been sitting on my coffee table for months lol. I did love Morganville but it's hard to go back once you're reading more adult material without the teen angst

OMG Belkis!!! lol I think we're Highlander kindred souls :p I really wanted to read the Fever series but had read both sides of whether not to read Highlander before Fever & I felt myslf resenting having to wait. I thought I'd play it safe & read Highlander first & OMG!! I fell in love with that series & was so glad I read it before & as you've described I too tell people having read Highlander helped me understand Fever far easier & that they should read them before Fever

I'm afraid not and I think that's part of the problem. There are all of these characters that I know nothing about, yet are obviously well established characters that I should know. So I'm just not in tune with there characters. But also a lot of the humor is just plain not funny to me. Oh well. It was really cheap on audible, and that's why I decided to give it a try.

Absolutely, especially given the fact that so much of the same myths are woven into both of KMM's series. I loved that some of our favorite characters from the Highlander series were featured in The Fever series so definitely recommend reading The Highlander series before jumping into The Fever series as I find it helped a lot where i wasn't as confused as many other readers or shocked as many other readers by the world and aspects of The Fever books :)

When I was reading the Fever series I read the synopsis of the Highlander series and I kinda thought it wouldn't be as good as the Fever series because it sounded so different for it but now I think I might have to check it out in future :)

I actually really loved those books Anika - Dark & Disturbing but definitely thought provoking as well.

Now I don't know what to start next

Both are excellent choices Katie. Broken is a stand alone though while you really need to have Book 2 of the Dark Duet handy after Book 1.

I loved those books. Loved and hated them but couldn't stop reading.

Good series!

Now I'm starting

Did you read the series in order? maybe it's the audiobook that wasn't well done. I'm going to give this author a try...when I'm a bit caught up with all the books on my shelf right now.

Lucky you!!! my library still hasn't order Rapture but I'm checking it everyday.

J.R. Ward created her own language for us readers. Love my BDB!

Sheree and Belkis and I can speak on behalf of Pansy and Kerri...we loved the Highlander and Fever series! it's a few series I can re-read.

Yup love love love :)

Now jumping right into

Loved this one Vlad is awesome!

That is too bad Katie - Broken made me bawl my eyes out.

It made me cry too Chelle. And poor Katie, I can't imagine reading Captive in the Dark after Broken. I'd be downright depressed. I had to read something really light hearted after both of those books.

I've been reading alot of funny books lately, so I thought I would change it up abit, but after I finish the Dark duet series I've got more light hearted books lined up on my knidle to read.

Oh don't get me wrong, it made me really sad too, I couldn't sleep after I finished cause I couldn't work out if I was morally ok with how things worked out or not. And poor Adam I think thats the bit that really got me, I couldn't stop thinking about the poor man.

Me too I finished it Tuesday and finised

So what I want to know is, once you get past the three brothers are the rest as good as the first three?

Now jumping right into

I couldn't agree more. I read the pride stories first. I'm finishing demonica and then getting to Here Kitty Kitty. I love both Pride Stories and Magnus Pack they are just laugh out loud funny!!!!

Currently, I'm so loving ONCE BURNED!

I know, right? I think I just may like this one better than Night Huntress. Its just the first book though so I'll reserve judgement until a few more books are released.
I can't wait for you to read Kushiel's Chosen this is the one I really want to have a discussion about, so much happens and it was an emotional roller coaster.

I hear you Katie - I did feel bad for Adam too.
