I agree PA...you really have to be haunkered down to read her books...if you are looking for a few quick-breeze-throughs....KA is not the author. (even though she is good)

I am almost afraid to read Seduced in the Dark (The Dark Duet, #2) by C.J. Roberts . The first book wore me out emotionally. I have never read such a dark book. I was so confused about my feeling for Caleb, I was so drained. I may start this weekend.

Pansy | 740 comments Reading Golden Trail (The 'Burg, #3) by Kristen Ashley . I am trying to get off the KA train but I find myself back on. Her books are so long but the stories suck you in. At Peace (The 'Burg, #2) by Kristen Ashley (all time favorite KA), I just had to read the next book.

Yeah! Just remember you have to stick with it until Kate meets with Curran (around page 60 or so) and then it really picks up. I love this series.

You should definitely read book2. For one, you have to find out how it ends. It's so worth it. And even though it's just as dark and tumultuous as the first book, it will leave you with a smile.

message 26211: by Danielle (new)

Danielle | 21 comments I just started this one:

Dark Lover (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #1) by J.R. Ward

It's a really easy read compared to the last one I read, which was Kushiel's Dart (Phèdre's Trilogy #1) by Jacqueline Carey and took me like 2 weeks to finish.

I'm liking it so far!

It has a lot of depth in the description and narration. and its hard not to love the main characters love interest right off the bat. I look forward to learning more as the story unfolds. I contacted the lovely author on facebook its so nice when an author replies.A.M is now friends with me on smashwords where my book is currently free.

message 26221: by Ty (new)

Ty currently reading Tinker by Wen Spencer , which has been on my TBR since before goodreads was a twinkle in someone's eyes.

so, just got back from a worktrip in Richland, Wa. For those of you who are Mercedes Thompson fans, y'all know that Patricia Briggs does a great job weaving the surrounding lands into the storyline. It was incredibly interesting to see places that were mentioned in the series, yet very disconcerting. I kept expecting Adam, the alpha werewolf, or Mercedes, the shape-shifter VW mechanic he loves, to appear in the car next to me or on the corner or living in the quaint houses on the hill. I know they're not real, but still.... (on another note, the Columbia River basin wine country is gorgeous. Yum, wine.)

That would be pretty cool to see the places books are set. I live in Aus so unless I'm planning a huge overseas holiday, thats prob something I won't get to do as most books are based in the USA or UK

message 26224: by Sheree (new)

Sheree Katie, I'm with you. It's a rare occasion for an author to come to Australia & even rarer for one to come to Perth, we miss out on almost everything. If the do come out, it's usually only to Melb or Sydney.
I just started Upon the Midnight Clear only one chapter in but the week's holiday has seen me power through these books & I love them

Sillylittlefishey | 1025 comments I finished
White Witch, Black Curse (The Hollows, #7) by Kim Harrison last night...it was a slow read for me, but I did enjoy the ending. And it was heart-wrenching when Rachel got her memory back!! Unfortunatley, the series has just been meh for me except for a book or two. But the publisher is going to let me review the new one so I need to catch up on the series!! I also found out that they have the Jeaniene Frost titles and they were supposed to mail me Once Burned (Night Prince, #1) by Jeaniene Frost and One Grave at a Time (Night Huntress, #6) by Jeaniene Frost today....I've only read the first of the Night Huntress series so far, but I loved it!! So I have a wee bit of catching up to do between Harrison and Frost.

But yet I'm reading something totally different... Strangers in Death (In Death, #26) by J.D. Robb

message 26246: by Jordy (new)

Jordy (jordycrazyromanceaddict) Oh its official...all of Katie MacAlister's Dragon series have moved to the top of my top 10 favorite series list. You definitely should read each dragon series in order. The first was Aisling Grey series which was a bit slower but very significant to the character building. In fact, you meet the yummy sexy Drake who is a green dragon. Also, you find it impossible not to fall in love with Jim the six class Demon dog who technically was a "fallen angel/sprit" who makes you laugh to the point of crying. The next series is called "Silver Dragons" which was the funniest of the three series. Between Jim and the overly preverted Demon lord i was dying laughing. Each series has a blossoming romance between the yummy dragons and their mates. It made me want my own devoted insatiable dragon man. The next was the "Light Dragons" which was action packed and it brought all the characters together again. I have never laughed nor cried with books like i did with these books. They just kept getting better and better with every book. There was humor, drama, action, passion, love, devotion, and mystery with every book. I definitely enjoyed the silver dragon series and the light dragons series the best. But without a doubt the Aisling grey series is very pertinent to them all and quite enjoyable. I highly recommend these books to anyone! I'm curious if anyone knows if the author plans to write more about these fabulous dragons!

Crazy4more (lan-ni) | 3071 comments Jordan, so I should read these series in order: Aisling Grey series starts with You Slay Me by Katie MacAlister then Playing With Fire (Silver Dragons, #1) by Katie MacAlister then Love in the Time of Dragons (Light Dragons, #1) by Katie MacAlister ? I saw these at my library but haven't gotten to it yet. But I'll ck them soon since I love anything dragon, shifters, etc.
