Pretty dark stuff. Haven't had a reaction to a book like this since reading "Exquisite Corpse" by Poppy Z. Brite. Not even sure I can finish it - some of the material is rather triggering.

I'm currently listening to the Tairen Soul series and I'm really glad I pushed thru the first book. Each book has gotten better & better! I think this series will definitely be added to my top ten favorites. Lots of action, magic, passion, romance!!

I'm glad you're loving Tairen Soul too. It's definitely my top 8 series. My library doesn't have the audiobook, how's the narration?

Crazy4more, I downloaded the books thru audible and the first two books have a different narrator than the last three books. Regardless, I absolutely love both narrators! I've been a bit sleep deprived because I just can't stop listening to these books! I highly recommend listen to the series in audio!

I finished . There is a lot of blatant sexism in this book that really ticked me off, but other than that I really enjoyed the book and it's main plot. It kind of reminded me of reading a BDB book. I just wanted to smack these men, and yet I couldn't put the book down because I had to see how it ended.

I also read the short . Not bad as shorts go. I enjoyed it, but as always wish it had been longer so some things could have been better explained.

Up next is . I didn't like the first book in this series, was talked into reading the second one (which was better), and now I'm hoping book 3 will be better yet.

I admire people who can put a book down after getting that far into it. Even if I feel like I'm being torture, once I get to a certain point I just have to finish. Hmmm...maybe I'm a bit of a masochist?

I'm about 50 pages into and I'm surprised to say I'm really enjoying it so far. I've laughed out lout numerous times. I didn't like the first book in this series, but was talked into a buddy read of the second book. The second book was a bit better than the first, and this third one is even better. Who knew?
