I was slightly disappointed with Dark Lover in the beginning. One of the reasons for that was because of how soon the characters slept together, so I can see why it isn't some people's favourite book. But I'm about 70% through it now and I'm liking it a bit better. I can't wait to read about the other brothers and their own stories :)

Yeah! You are going to love Vampires in America. Do not compare to other Vamp novel because it is totally different. There are lots of fans of that series so let us know what you think while you read it. How are you feeling by the way? Are you adjusting to the cast?

Oh I hope so:D I'm 5% in right now, and from the summary of the book I'm really curious to see how Bree ends up with Jamie and Claire... And whether it's Roger or someone else who's supposed to be her loveinterest

message 25724: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie (stephieja) | 59 comments I'm reading The Host by Stephenie Meyer. I read the Twilight Saga and didn't really care for it. I love vampires, but it was to hard to stay interested in a story written for teenagers. The Hot isn't going any better for me. And I saw on goodreads that sh has plans to write 2 more Host books. There are already a buttload of ratings on books that haven't even been written yet. Confusing.

message 25725: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer | 429 comments Give The Host a chance. It's a really slow starter. Like 100 pages slow. But once it gets going it gets really good.

This one took me quite a while to get into ... I think it was the 10th or 12th chapter before it hooked me ... I put it down and picked back up several times before I committed to it ... It is a pretty good story once you get past the world/species/character building.

message 25739: by Christy (new)

Christy (christy_kennedy) | 184 comments Finished Biting Cold (Chicagoland Vampires, #6) by Chloe Neill another excellent book and actually even better than Drink Deep (Chicagoland Vampires, #5) by Chloe Neill . This series is so well written and I love how Merit is growing into her own skin and becoming a powerful vampire. Looking forward to House Rules (Chicagoland Vampires, #7) by Chloe Neill in January 2013.

Now I'm on to Widow’s Web (Elemental Assassin, #7) by Jennifer Estep . Looks like Anika and I are on the same page of book reading. :)

message 25743: by Nancy (new)

Nancy (nancyjcohen) | 74 comments I'm reading Ark Angel by Anthony Horowitz. It's not a romance. In fact, it's teen spy fiction. But I'm hooked on the Alex Rider series by this author. It's exciting, escapist fiction if you're looking for something different to read. His first book is Stormbreaker. It was made into a movie with Alex Pettyfer who is cute to watch even in his younger days.

I'm with Shawn. Bonds of Justice wasn't that bad. Sure, it didn't hold my attention like other books in the series. BUT it was still better than some other series that are out there.

Brandy (txgirl7227) I finally finished Shadowfever (Fever, #5) by Karen Marie Moning & was going to start Beyond the Highland Mist (Highlander, #1) by Karen Marie Moning , but decided I wanted to read just regular romance for a bit. So, I read Seduction and Snacks (Chocolate Lovers #1) by Tara Sivec , which was hilarious & then read Seducing Cinderella (Fighting for Love, #1) by Gina L. Maxwell & it was wonderful. They were both really short reads... Now what? I don't think I'm ready to start Highlander yet, so I have no idea what to read now.

Brandy (txgirl7227) Ok, I made a decision... I completely forgot that Betrayed A Cyn & Raphael Novella (Vampires in America, #5.5) by D.B. Reynolds was released so I went ahead & bought that. Then I'm just going to start Beyond the Highland Mist (Highlander, #1) by Karen Marie Moning . I will hopefully be in the right frame of mind by the time I'm finished with Rafeal & Cyn. I love those two.
