Jordan, did u read the prequel to the Alpha and Omega series in On the Prowl by Patricia Briggs ?

yeah u meet Bran, Charles and Samuel in the Mercy Thompson series. it helps gives u an idea of the characters in the Alpha/Omega series. u see what happened to Samuel in the past and see what he's going through when u meet him in this series. u'll also get a since of both Bran and Charles' personalities. although we're getting to know them better in this series it's just a good start in Mercy's books. i'm also reading Cry Wolf. u should check out the Mercy Thompson series it's really good.

Oh, I liked
Tempted by Megan Hart just fine, but was very unhappy with the ending too. I haven't read any other of her books yet, but Ive been told that she's one hell of a writer, she just didn't show it with this book. Maybe I'll try her other titles later. Thank you for the tip though. :)

Sillylittlefishey | 1025 comments I open the door yesterday to find a suprise...two ARC's stuck in the door mailed from one of the publishers I've been working with.

Bloodstar: Star Corpsman: Book One...which I don't think I'm going to read...too sci-fi for me. And Chosen by Sable Grace ...now that looks like something I could get behind...sexy men on the cover always draw me in!! I asked the publicist for the first two books in the series so now I have to wait and see otherwise I'll be hitting the library!!

In the meantime I'm still reading Murder Unmentionablewhich is boring me to death!!

Crazy4more...a bunch of us are reading "Raphael"...the first book in the Vampires in America Series starting tomorrow. http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/9... I recommend the series. For me it is a re-read. It is one of my favorite vamp series. http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/6...

Book Two (Jabril) has one of the most wonderfully satisfying declarations of love I have ever read.

Here is one of my all time quotes from Raphael- Raphael (Vampires in America, #1) by D.B. Reynolds
"Raphael came through the door like a child's nightmare, his eyes glowing an almost solid silver with wrath, his gleaming fangs fully extended, blood painting his mouth a brilliant red, dripping from his chin to shine wetly against the tattered remains of his black shirt. His huge chest was heaving with the fury of his breath, and his hands curled into claws as his gaze found her and he growled a warning. 'Release her, human.'
'Who are you? the man rasped, fear taking away his breath, coarsening his voice.
'Release her.'
The man tightened his grip, 'Come closer and she dies.'
Rachael's mouth widened in a terrifying smile, 'You think to bargain with me?'"

Love this quote from book 3: Rajmund- Rajmund (Vampires in America, #3) by D.B. Reynolds
"Look at me, Sarah." She did. "What ever it is, whatever is going on...it can't be that bad. I'm a vampire sweetheart. I drink human blood on a regular basis. What can you possibly have to tell me that could top that?"

And this quote in Duncan's book: Duncan (Vampires in America, #5) by D.B. Reynolds
"Emma says, 'Ask any woman, hell, maybe any man, too, on Facebook if they'd rather have a vampire or politician as a lover. Vampires would win hands down.' And Duncan says, 'Really?' looking far too interested. And Emma responds, 'Not your concern, beautiful, you're off the menu.'"
