Well...the series get's better as it goes on and as each new book comes out if you ask my opinion. In Shannon K. Butcher's August News Letter, it was announced that the pairing for this book is Rory and Cain!
Remember Cain? The dude Iain tries to pass Jackie off to in Dying Wish? I loved him in that...telling Jackie...I would take you to survive, but if I had my way I would want my own woman who wants me for me...or something like that. And Rory is one of the sisters....
I can't wait for the brother who is scared and thinks he is ugly...what is his name....the one that got slapped. Katya is snapping her fingers hoping that helps her remember his name.

Katya, the scarred guy is Nicholas. I look forward to his book too.

Love this series. I still can't believe I haven't gotten around to reading Dying Wish yet! What am I waiting for? And what about the guy who was paralyzed? What was his name? I think all authors should write a little synopsis of "our story so far" to put at the beginning of each new book in a series. Kind of like how some TV series do "last week on this show...." It would help me out tremendously.

Cry Baby Hollow, By Aimee Love
As the synopsis shows, it is a book about werewolves, but surprisingly you do not get to the werewolf action until the last quarter of the book. However, the story grabs you with first chapter and does not let go until the finish. The characters are amazing. The main character is far from your normal run the mill female protaganist. As a male reader, I usually do not like female leads unless they are "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" ass kickers. While this lead can kick ass, she is a much more believable "real life" female lead. Relying on guile and wit, more than brawn. Of course her Navy training with demolitions and weapons comes in handy more than once in the book.
While the main character is great, it is the amazing supporting characters that really shine. I actually woke up my better half with my barely suppressed laughter numerous times, as I stayed up till the wee hours reading this book cover to cover. Some memorable quotes:
"The boy is every woman's type. I could rent him out the Mormons so they don't have to electrocute their lesbos anymore."
also,
"Next time you come around here, I'm gonna fill you so full of rock salt people will lick your ass before they take a shot of tequila!"

Thanks, that's good to know. I'll now go and add Wicked Nights to my TBR list. :)

Christine....read it...Dying wish is probably one of the best so far and the end has a little shocker for you....I LOVED this book!

Yes...Nicholas!

Well at least I am liking how this is going now. Travis is saying such sweet things but his temper is still kinda intense! I am at like 70%... I just want to kick everybody out and finish it tonite but my hubby has been patient this evening -for once he didn't give me attitude for reading while he is in the same room! I am telling myself I will get to finish it Monday while he is at work! :)

Your husband gives you attitude for that too? Man, it's good to know I'm not alone in the world. lol

LOL! nope, your not alone! I usually sacrifice some reading time for him because I know he feels 'ignored'... but this book is really pulling at me!

ohhhhh..."
OH he is Torr (the paralyzed guy) he and Grace are in Dying Wish - Christine. I love how when Jackie met him....she described his voice "as ragged as if he had been screaming for days."

ohhhhh..."
Christine, you have to read Dying Wish next!!! you won't regret it. The only thing I regret was using my expensive eye cream...just to have them wiped off. Still woke up with puffy eyes, bags and dark circles bc I couldn't stop reading.

Grace is just human though, but oh how Torr loves her. I don't think he loves her out of pity? I wonder how how Ms. Butcher going to change that.

This one was quiet emotional to me.

I thought Dying Wish was really good. She made me look forward to Nicholas, Cain and Torr's books with this one. Oh also Joseph the leader. I think his story will be good too.

Okay, okay! If I ever get caught up on my buddy reads, I'll finally read

I loved Naked in Death....I'm working on the rest of the series and some of the books are really good while other's are mediocre...but Roarke is yummy!!

Now I'm reading an ARC of a novella,

But I don't have it...so now I'm going to take a breif break from the paranormal and go to mystery with Murder Unmentionable due out next month.

I loved fury of Fire. I think it is one of my favorite new series I have read lately. Can't wait for the next one to be released

I thought this was the final bk in this series. Is that not true?
