Almost done with Kitty and the Silver Bullet (Kitty Norville, #4) by Carrie Vaughn , as in I should finish within the hour and then on to Kitty and the Dead Man's Hand (Kitty Norville, #5) by Carrie Vaughn . Also need to get back to Oracle's Moon (Elder Races, #4) by Thea Harrison and A Perfect Blood (The Hollows, #10) by Kim Harrison , they are sitting on my bedside table making me feel guilty.

It's definitely worth a try. I'm really loving it, although it's not the traditional characters you normally root for. Chess is a drug addict (mainly pills from what I've gathered so far) and Terrible is her supplier's enforcer. But the author does a great job humanizing them and giving you glimmers of what they are beyond those labels. But she also doesn't let you forget what those labels mean to their lives. It's intense at times.

I'm not sure; I don't think so. What I do know for sure is that it started out as a trilogy the first being written in 2001 and the series was so popular that she continued with the series.

I can't recommend it enough, the first book at least; I just started the second book this morning and I have been out all day. I am continuing to read now and so far it is equally as good. The books are phenomenally written.

I actually read somewhere (I don't remember where) that Ms. Carey was done (for now) writing the Kushiel series. She wrote 9 books each in sets of 3 (i.e Phedre has a trilogy there's a trilogy for Imriel and Naamah). They are quite beautifully written and epic.
