I can't wait to start A fall of water but will start later this week. I get excited every time I see someone reading it and liking it. I hope it doesn't let me down.

Christy (christy_kennedy) | 184 comments Just finished The Phantom King (The Kings, #2) by Heather Killough-Walden . What an amazing ride! The second installment of the spin-off of the The Big Bad series by Heather Killough-Walden - "the Kings" series was as intense and action-packed at The Vampire King. Lots of suspense, mystery characters and a dark, violent evil rises to make the lives of the 13 Kings a literal hell on earth. The author certainly knows how to set the stage for the next installment The Warlock King.
Looking forward to it.

The good think Jenne is that the author is releasing Carwyn's book in the winter of 2012 called: Building from Ashes: Elemental World

"For a thousand years, powerful earth vampire Carwyn ap Bryn has served others. God. His family. His friends. But tragedy and loss disrupt his peaceful existence, causing him to question everything he has committed his eternity to.

Brigid Connor has known about vampires since they rescued her from a painful childhood. But not even their vast elemental power can save her from the demons that torment her.

As loyalties are tested and new paths are forged, a lurking danger slowly grows in the Elemental World. Carwyn and Brigid learn that even secrets revealed can come back to haunt you when you least expect it."

If you liked the Restorer, the series continues in Book 2 The Kingdom and Book 3 The Prophet... I found it an intriguing series and a bit different from the usual vamps and shifters.

It started a little slow but more than made up for it by the middle of the book. IMO there was a lot of growing up in this book and I felt everything was answered and concluded nicely.

Now it is definitely picking up and I'm getting into it. I'm 80% in and I can't really connect with neither of the main characters. I'm not saying they're bad, on the contraire, I think they have a very good dynamic but there are better couples out there. :)

The last time I'm emotionally ached like this was with Succubus Blues (Georgina Kincaid, #1) by Richelle Mead . There's something to be said when an author, through strings of words, had me hid in my bathroom engrossing every word and bawling without shame, knowing I was going to meet a friend in 10 min....

Heather (Raevynemyst) (raevynemyst) | 14 comments Right now, I am totally addicted to the Jeaniene Frost - Night Huntress series. On book 3 and am loving it. However, I had to switch from listening to reading it as I couldn't stand the accent that the reader gave to Bones. I can't be attracted to a vampire that sounds like Eliza Doolittle from My Fair Lady. My Brittish men need to sound like proper Brittish men with cool sexy British accents. Anyway, I love the series so far.
