I agree Jenne....I love the first two books I've read:

do you see above the comment box where it says "add book/author"? when you click on that you can search for a book or author by the tabs at the top. on the tab for the book there are 2 different serial buttons on the bottom that give you the option for either a link or a cover.
Hope that helps! :D Happy Linking!

Now I'm working on White Night by Jim Butcher! I'm a huge Harry Dresden fan (and you should be, too, if you're not already!)

I like the relationship between the roommates. The things they say and do are funny.

Let me know how it is, I have it on my to-read list..."
Downside Ghosts is one of my FAVORITE series. Each book is better than the last!

I join you in your squee of delight! I can't wait!

I wrote down in my TBR list a while ago something called Blood Rage (Dream Walker) and now I cant find anything that looks like that. Do you know what I might have meant?

She self-published and it's not available in book form, other than on kindle, as far as I know. It's about a girl who have two guys in her life and they are not all they seem. Turns out they have the vampire 'virus'. It seems very much like Twilight, with the premise that you get the virus and some don't survive/transform - you either before vampire or die in the process. It's a good story though, don't want to say too much more or I'll spoil it for others but the characters are very engaging and interesting and the plot is good...so far

I love Kitty Norville, but it's a bit unusual. It's not really an adventure story. There's actions scenes and dark conspiracies and so forth, but in the end it's about a woman trying to live a reasonably normal life as an paranormal person in an paranormal world.

I agree. I love that couple and I wish there were more stories about them."
Totally bummed they're not in the next one....not nearly as anxious to read it as I was Stolen...

Mortal Instruments series. It's a 6 book series. One of the books just came out on May 8. It definitely fits in the category of paranormal romance. There are vampires, faeries, werewolves, and shadowhunters in this enticing book about love and sacrifice. This book is for people who love mythical creatures, suspense, romance, and mystery. I definitely recommend this book to everyone. It was awesome.

Mortal Instruments is a great series all right!

I second the group read for

this is a great cover. Cannot wait for Vlad.

Maybe because you are only 30 percent into it and the story picks up. And Book one is a bit slower than Books two and three....more background stuff for the story. The romance & action doesn't really pick up until book two.
Maybe you expected it to be a different type of book?

Maybe because you are only..."
I have to wait for book 2 for something to happen? I don't think I can do it. If I get to 50% and it hasn't improved I am giving up on this one.

Maybe becaus..."
that is a shame because this is a fab series! One of the best stories I've read. Just like Fever....if you don't push you don't get rewarded.
Maybe it just isn't the right time???

me too, i grew up in that area so its fun to read the books, well i grew up like 2 hours away from that area

Maybe that's it. I can have patience for a story--I loved fever and I even liked it at book 1. Chicagoland vampires, Georgina Kincaid, and Mercy Thompson all had to wait for romance and I loved them. I don't know what it is but the story is just dragging for me. Maybe you're right and I should try it later, but if I put it down I don't think I'll pick it up again so I want to keep going.

any good? its on my "must read" list"
It's just "okay". Not one of her steller examples sadly. I got bored and switched over to

I've heard both sides of the coin with this one, P.A. It's on my TBR pile still. Actually, it's probably one of my June challenge reads. Looking forward to see if you finish... haha.
As an aside - in cases where ppl exclaim at the awesomeness of a book that I find ho-hum, I just usually attribute it to a simple difference in taste. shrug.

I have put off reading this, but if it is similar to Fever, I think I have been missing out! I will try to add it to my June reads...

Please DO keep going! I just finished book two and the story is amazing. You should really stick to it. I just read Darkfever and I thought the story dragged a lot more than in A Hidden Fire, but that's just me. :)
