I was thinking of starting up The Dresden Files on audio. Never did audio, seems kinda strange to me to listen to my books, but after learning that Spike James Marsters was reading, I immediately became starry-eyed... Treadmill sounds perfect for this!

That's what I do. I listen to audio books on the treadmill. It's great to pass the time. However, people do look at me strangely when I suddenly burst out laughing in the middle of the gym. I'm dreading the day I start crying on the treadmill because the audio book I listen to is sad.

message 23653: by Cmkage (new)

Cmkage | 231 comments I finished The Lost Hero (Heroes of Olympus, #1) by Rick Riordan and loved it. I was supposed to wait until I get new audible credits to download The Son of Neptune (Heroes of Olympus, #2) by Rick Riordan , but I just had to have it right away. I've listened to about 20% and it's even better than Lost Hero.

that is too funny! During a boring work meeting, I was thinking about the events of Mockingjay and, to my horror, my eyes started tearing up. Rapid blinking ensued.

Yes Ty, I'm able to combine my favorite 2 hobbies. The trick is distraction. Distract yourself with a great read and at the same time, distract yourself from the pain & time on the machine, hint, the naughtier the book, the better the distraction. I can always count on Lorelei James to do the trick!

My Kindle audiobook sucks. It doesn't have an option to go back if I missed something, and I do do that often if I'm with someone, plus I do go back often just for the heck of it. Anywho, I have one of those huge magnet clip for your fridge. Its clip and magnet are strong enough to spread the book open so you can lean it on the machine and just work your butt off. Plus it covers the time & mileage so you don't have to annoy how slow it runs.

yeay Aestas.....I cried all over this book and was that end to die for? Anytime you put little children or puppies in a story it ramps up the emotion factor. I finished this and had the same relaxation factor you get when you've had a good cry.
