Ditto. I know exactly what you're talking about. It's all about getting all the great reads out of the way for my BDB read! that said, I'm loving each read on my way to LR.

I couldn't read another book for 2 days after I finished that story.

If you want another book that tugs on your heartstrings the way RD does but withhout the master/slave angle you should read

I am reading "Breeds" by Lora Leigh. The first 2 books didnt really do anything for me but I pushed on reading this series hoping it would get better. I liked book #3 it peaked my interest and desire to continue the series. I am currently reading book# 4. So far it is dragging but I am holding on.. Lol

book 2 does a much better job of explaining the world building. the series gets exponentially better as you move along, promise!

I love this series. This first one was the weakest of the series for me. They get much better.
