If you liked book 1, book 2 and 3 are better, IMO. Especially when you need to switch genre OR while enjoying the afterglow from a great read. It worked for me bc it prevented from comparing hotties/plots/romances.

Crazy4more (lan-ni) | 3072 comments Finished Seduction of a Highland Lass (McCabe Trilogy, #2) by Maya Banks , and what a surprise, another book I loved.

nope, not immortal, they can't stay in the sun for long.It is interesting as Richelle mead studied religion I think it was & apparently it has to do with the myths from Russia (I think that's the Strigoi also). She was an English teacher lol I smile when ever I find out an author was once an English teacher as I went to many many school's & every time I loved my English Teacher's & they were my favourite teacher's. I got a bit frustrated with Frostbite, the second but by the third I was completely hooked. Trust me on this by the fourth you will be shocked, saddened, in love...you know all those awesome emotions some great books give you. If it hadn't been me waiting for the next book in this series all those years ago, I would NEVER have found adult p&r When I decided I trusted her writing enough to read Succubus Blues while waiting & counting down the day's to the release. I read these after Twilight. I had posted on fb how I needed a good book to read & was lost as to what to read next. An older friend commented & told me of this series & that she swore it was better then Twilight by far & well....she was right. Happy reading

Jordy (jordycrazyromanceaddict) I just finished Shadowfever (Fever, #5) by Karen Marie Moning and I can honestly say I loved the series! Keeps you guessing so much that I read/listened to all five books in one week. I definitely was addicted!

Now I'm debating whether to start Angels' Blood (Guild Hunter, #1) by Nalini Singh or Dark Lover (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #1) by J.R. Ward
I was going to start reading Deadlocked (Sookie Stackhouse #12) by Charlaine Harris but I haven't been hearing very good reviews about it. Anyone feel differently?

Those are both great series, but I'd put my money on Nalini Singh any day. But then I prefer her writing style to Ward's and I think she's done a better job at consistent world building with strong female characters (in her Psy/Changeling series) versus the BDB series. I'd still recommend them both to anyone, I just personally prefer Singh over Ward.
