Mortal Instruments is YA BUT oh soooo good though. I loved it! to me it's like the magic from Harry Potter and the romance from Twilight.

Carrie (cgodfrey) | 20 comments I finished The Prophet (Graveyard Queen #3) by Amanda Stevens last night. Some questions were answered, but a lot of stuff is still left up in the air. I'm hoping there are more books in the series. The door has been left wide open for some awesome stuff to happen. (:

message 23009: by Logan (new)

Logan Grey | 4 comments I'm trying to get through Swallowing Darkness by LKH. It is a little much for me. This entire thing about "Princess Meredith" and her 6 gorgeous elf lovers is a little ridiculous. Also ridiculous is the part where each of them is in part the "father" of her unborn twins. What?

Why does she need to have sex with literally every character mentioned? I'm not even sure what the story is about at this point.

Because it's LKH. And she thinks that complete trash sells.

I had the same feeling on this one. I kept trying to "turn the digital page" but alas, there were no more.

Jordy (jordycrazyromanceaddict) I just started The Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning. My fingers are crossed!!I asked everyone for recommendations on a new addictive series to fall in love with and this was what the majority suggested. I really love a book series that can help me escape away from my reality of life! I've read Sookie Stackhouse, Anita Blake, Merry Gentry, Night Nightress & World Series. I really liked Jeaniene Frost writing. I'm still working on my list so any other suggestions are welcome.

Thanks, I'm loving loving loving it. I had parties back-to-back last weekend...all my doings, of course. Something had to give and it was my books, boohoo. That's alright, I'm savoring them. Good to hear. I love BDB. It's my first read for adult PNR after Twilight saga. It got varies ratings from 1 to 5 stars. I have total trust in J.R. Ward and her hard-core writing. It's still good to know she's still got it, that said, the negative reviews will ONLY make her write better... win win for us readers!

Sheree I'm reading Bared to You, I had to put Hunger games down. There's far too much drama in my life atm, I missed fifty so figured I'd read a book that has been described as "similar". I am enjoying it but I have been reading less & slower in the past two weeks but this book is helping me escape for a short time. lol thoughts of everything creep into my mind at times while trying to read but I guess with time it'll get easier to concentrate :)

Is that the right word? Anyway the story that KMM tells is really, really, really good!~

Wow. I felt the same thing. There were so many great reviews on this. I was so pissed at the whole story line. It was rather weak and the characters fell so fast so hard that there was no building to the plot(whatever that is). Hopefully the next book will be more fulfilling. I got so tired of the fighting that I started to skim because I knew Eva was going to get the wrong idea and they would fight and then have sex.

the whole fighting/sex thing is exactly what happens in the Fifty Shades books. But I think that this is primarily because these two figures do not come to this relationship on the same plane....There is no trust, they have no solid background to build it on. Their initial attraction is physical. In most relationships there is physical attraction and attraction to self. In other words, you have something in common, you like each other. With the backgrounds these two have (Gideon/Eva or Christian/Ana) They come at a relationship not knowing how to build it except through sex..this just highlights their insecurity and vulnerability. I think that that is why they fight so much and why they're future is always so precarious. I guess I kinda feel a little sorry for them at the same time am jealous of what they have.
