I just finished Wanted a week ago and I loved it. I really enjoy this series. It is not really heavy and I know it is funny and sexy. Not too much sex but interesting stories.

It's really really good. Read it, it won't disappoint you.

Sammie: Good book, the ending just blew me away...can't wait for the resolution in the final book.

Apparently stuff happens in the second book which lots of readers hated. Interested to see what I think."

Crazy4more I really am enjoying this book so far, which I'm glad because I was beginning to feel like I have read all the good books left lol

I forgot I had Shadowflame sitting in my TBR pile so I decided to read it to see what got so many people riled. I don't remember the first book that well but I know I really liked it and gave it 5 stars.

Finished audiobook

Crazy4more I hope you enjoy Forbidden Pleasure for some reason it is my favorite of all the Bound Heart Series that Lora Leigh has written.

Now I should finish reading

I like Third Grave so far. The series seems to get better with every book. You should definitely read

Yea I love that series and Agree Death is Awesome :) I LOVED third grave... It really is an awesome series and it does get better and better with each book.. I'm not sure I can wait til October for the next one lol. I loved book one of the Alex craft series...

I'm pretty sure you're right! And I still have to read

I really enjoyed this series. I liked the second and third books more than the first, but I have to confess I don't quite get all the hype over Reyes. I'm a Garret Girl myself. And the end of book three made me cry like a baby. Rest assured, it all works out in the end.

When you get to the scene that upset so many people you'll know it, without a doubt.

I loved the series too. I think what I like about Reyes is I've never seen another character like him. He's unique, kind of like Barrons.

I think I'm just a sucker for the boy-next-door underdog. In the Kara Gillian series so many people love Ryzhkail (sp?) but I love Ryan.

I'm with you. I prefer Garret as well, which actually surprised me. Normally, the intense, dark and tortured guys are right up my alley. But I liked Garret from the first moment he appeared in the book. I'm dying to hear the second half of Third Grave Dead Ahead, but I swore myself I would only listen to my audio books on the road or at the gym...

I love Ryan too, but after the last one I read

BTW, not very many people talk about this series but I love it.

Yea I definitely cried at the end of book 3.... and I'm now leaning more towards Garrett now too... though depending on how the next book goes that may change lol

BTW, not very many people talk about this series but I love it. ."
Oh, I know! I can't believe I still haven't read Sins of the Demon to see where she goes with that...

I loved this book and the second book in the series. I'd definitely recommend you at least try it.

I haven't on purpose. Apparently it has a really bad cliffhanger. Her books take about a year to release so I'm waiting for the next one before I read that book.

DO IT, DO IT, DO IT! this will be our true test, either you hate it or you love... It's a rare treat for me.

Let me know how you like it. Especially when you gave the first book 5 stars...you might not or might not loved the second one. It's controversial but to me, it's more real than not, and you'll feel that pain. It's that emotional kick that had earned a 5 stars from me. PLUS, the 3rd book is coming out anytime now.

Thanks Jenny. I picked it up while filing the books. Do I need to read this [bookcover:Forbidden Pleasure|333671] series in order? I haven't read any of her books but she's on my TBR list.

I'm waiting for my library copy. Can't wait though.

Barrons???? why didn't anyone drop his name for these books??? I'm on it. Thanks.

I have

LMBO. I don't really compare Reyes to Barrons except that they are both really unique characters. Not your typical vampire, werewolf, or demon.

A really interesting take on the paranormal world where Vampires exist....they chose from a select group of invited mortals to a "selection" where they choose a mortal who signs a contract to feed the vampire as his concubine until he sets her aside in a couple years. At that point he supports her the rest of her life in the good life and chooses a new concubine.
There are very ridged rules (laws) about how the concubine is treated. No Sex, Can't live with her, must be kind and protect her, no public events of their kind with her, can not mate with her. If you keep her too long she is removed from your life by The Council. What does Lucian do? Risk his life by divorcing/severing his relationship mate/wife, move in with Leah, and well....alot more.
Leah has avoided becoming a concubine for twenty years and is now forty....but her latest boy friend has broken up with her and her family (with a tradition of being concubines for five hundred years) has pushed her to accept an invitation to the selection....What she doesn't know is that Lucian (an 850 year old legend among vampires) marked her twenty years ago and has been watching and waiting for her since then to become available....now Leah is just trying not to fall for him because she knows he will set her aside eventually and she will be broken hearted for the rest of her life....but protecting her heart is not such an easy thing to do.
The next book is about Callum the Werewolf king and his mortal mate. The third is about a hybrid werewolf/vampire who is in hiding somewhere and unidentified as of yet. These couples all fit into these Prophesies which were written by "The Elder's" who are ancient immortals their kind or essence is not disclosed and very secretive.
Sometimes Lucian irritated me...he was forever keeping things from Leah and sometimes she was a little stubborn (but feisty in a good way)All-in-all, I never got bored reading this and really loved the slow pace of the relationship that rolled out. Kristen Ashley gives you time as you read to feel the relationship grow and you get to see the little shifts in their minds as they grow closer to one another.
This is the same author who wrote Knight and Wild Man but this novel is so different. Her characters and the tone of this book is totally different. I like that I can read different books from the same author and it is not a carbon copy of the previous book.
