Rebecca (Bec) | 248 comments Fifty Shades trilogy:
Okay my husband recommended a book to me last week after hearing about it on NOVA, a radio station here in melbourne Australia. I thought I would give it a go over the Easter weekend. Its not PNR but it is erotic, with a little BDSM (warning for those who may not be into reading stuff like that)

I dont normally read stuff that isnt PNR or UF but seeing that i love my hubby, thought i would give it a go. I loved it and think it is worth recommending:

Fifty Shades of Grey (Fifty Shades, #1) by E.L. James Fifty Shades Darker (Fifty Shades, #2) by E.L. James Fifty Shades Freed (Fifty Shades, #3) by E.L. James

I am currently halfway through Fifty Shades Freed, but i found it extremely difficult to put down this weekend and read the first two back to back.

Give it a go and let me know what you think!

Carrie (cgodfrey) | 20 comments I just got all up to date on all of Thea Harrison's Elder Races books. I'm liking the series so far. The whole theme that's running through the two novellas (view spoiler) is interesting.

There were some things that kind of pissed me off. Some of the stories were left very... open ended. I see now that Harrison is going back into Pia and Dragos's story in the next book, so does that mean she's going to be going back into other character's as well to finish them off?

(view spoiler)

I'm definately going to keep reading, though.

I read the series last fall and I liked it, but...
I loved the supporting characters, but for me Georgina was an exhausting character to read about. For someone who had been around for a millennium, she spent a lot of time going around in circles and was even a little clueless at times. And there was no tension for me, because it was obvious how it was all going to end. I still enjoyed the books and liked her writing style enough to someday check out her other series.

It is not so much the BDSM as is what it is about Knight that Anya has to accept in order to stay in the relationship. He is very, very controlling. And his life growing up has been a bit messed up....I don't know how you walk away from this guy even if you wanted too....we all fell for him when we read the book but boy is this a tough one. I think we will have some wonderful conversations once everyone starts reading it. If they do. The series is called Bad Boys!

It wasn't a Kate Daniel's story, but it was set in that world with a white weretiger named Dali, and Kate's ex-partner Jim. It was so much fun, and it had enough going on in it it could've been a novel!
