I keep hearing great things, but I don't know if that's because it's a readers group and they know she's a member so they're just being nice....or if it's really good. (I don't know her personally - I've just seen her around.)

Katie I love New Species Series. I am so glad to hear you are enjoying this. Some say they are similar to the Breeds Series but based on having read a few of the breeds books I like this one better. Can't wait for Tiger's book :-)

Lauranne Dohner also has a really good series, Zorn Warriors:
Ral's Woman (Zorn Warriors, #1) by Laurann Dohner Kidnapping Casey (Zorn Warriors, #2) by Laurann Dohner Tempting Rever (Zorn Warriors, #3) by Laurann Dohner Berrr's Vow (Zorn Warriors, #4) by Laurann Dohner with another on the way soon.

I've read all the books in the L at S series, but skiped Vamps & the City at first, but just read it last week. It was okay, a little slow and not much action. They do get better, the action picks up as more characters are added into the mix. I picked through the series according to the character in the book, and chose the ones that interested me more, except for the last 5, which I read in order.

Thanks for all the positive feedback! I almost finished it but my Nook battery died - I almost broke the damned thing. I think I am becoming obsessed with Elloras Cave publications. They do a really good job of teasing with a hot freebie and then KILL you with the prices of the others in the series!

I have to agree with you about Elloras Cave. I'm three books in the Breeds series and after the last one I'm totally hooked. And talk about HOT sex scenes, they make all hot and bothered. LOL I haven't started with the New Species series, but after I'm finished with

One Foot in the Grave (Night Huntress, #2) by Jeaniene Frost I'll definitely read it. :)

I was just thinking now I want to try Vampire Academy. I never read it because I tend to shy away from YA.

PA If you like Richelle Mead's writing style I think you will enjoy Vampire Academy. I don't read much YA either but IMHO this is probably one of the best series out there along with the Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare. Just great story telling.
