What are you reading right now?

I liked Dead Reckoning, but..."
I liked hit list too. However, I thought

On another thread we were discussing series that get boring after too many books. I was worried this would happen here since it's the 10th in the series. I am so thrilled with the changes Lara Adrian made in this story. There are new species, new rules and a whole new reality. She's literally changed everything and it was excellent

It's a big boy!

Im excited for a new entry to that series, I really liked Darker After Midnight

I waited until I read Game of Thrones before watching it but the first season was good. I was so excited to start Clash of Kings but it was kinda slow to me especially considering what was going on. I have A Storm of Swords (book 3) ready to read as soon as I move a couple of my plate tho. I'm glad you're still hooked at book 4.

I really enjoyed The Rest Falls Away. I got the 1st 3 in the series super cheap at a used book story, then someone one here (sorry can't remember who) told me about the 1.5 for free on amazon. I am ready to start it, but have to finish off this months challenge or at least try too. That's why I am reading The Vampire Queen. I will probably finish it but I'm not sure if I will go on with the series. I like my erotica to have a little bit more of a plot. and so far for me it is lacking the page turner sensation. There are 7 more in the series. Have you read any of them? They have higher marks then this one.

This had to be my favorite MB book! The new twist was so unexptected and good. I've always liked Chase too.

I'm about 30 pages away from being done with

I have read the Hunger games trilogy before this whole success thing started and I have the third one on my list of favorites. It is a freaking awesome series.

In total agreement!!! There are a few series out there that are gearing up for a turn of events. I'm eagerly awaiting.

I love that she has taken the series in a whole new direction and added some new stuff that changes everything. I feel excited about the series again.

I know, right? So many series get stagnet. I have a lot of respect authors who keep it fresh and exciting, it has to be a challenge for them.

I think most are afraid of taking the risk and disappointing fans. I love when I read something where clearly the author is just writing and letting the story flow and change.
This series was tied for me with Black Dagger Brotherhood, but I've been disappointed with the last two BDB books. With Darker After Midnight I think this series just inched ahead of BDB, for me anyway.

Yes, I agree. I think another good series that just took a good turn is LOTU. Paris' story started out terribly slow, but it turned out to be a great book and you can see new twists coming. I'm glad that she took her time with this book and wrapped up some thins in preperation for future stories. It left me in great impatient anticipation for the next one. Thats the same feeling I had when I finished Chase's story.

I'm sorry to say I couldn't even finish

I just recently discovered the LOTU series and I'm only 4 books into it. I am greatly anticipating Paris story though. It's killing me not to skip ahead. That and

In this vein what about IAD and Lothaire's book, I could definitely see the possibility for some new directions there. Although many have mentioned that they think Lothaire was the end of the series I couldn't disagree more.

This is a series I haven't read. I have heard so many good things but I tried the first and didn't like it. A lot of people have told me it's not that good compared to the others in the series but I haven't gone back to try again yet.

Adrian's series was kind of hit and miss for me. I've read all but the latest and some I liked better then others. To me they're dark, the world they seem to portray is dark and dreary, not just violent but dreary. I learned of the series by a "if you like ______, you'll like ________" , from reading the BDB series. A few of the characters I could connect with but many of them just didn't seem to matter to me.

That's too bad. I didn't enjoy the last 2 books before this newest one as much. Honestly, I thought she was going to drag out this storyline forever--but she honestly changed it all up in this last book.

I'll still get the latest and read it, eventually.

Ash's book is in my top 10 faves. I loved his story. I've read it a few times.

Oh me too, no way is it the last. I just saw a new twist to the series. The great thing about this series is that she has brought so many species and characters into the stories that the possibilities are endless. I for one am definitely looking forward to the next book!!!

Those are both amazing books! Hope you like MockingJay!

I see Ash's book on so many favorites shelves that it's hard to resist skipping ahead to get to it.

@ Mandy - I know "The Vampire Manifesto" did have misspeeling, missing words, and when I started to see "chapters" I wonder if it was even necessary since I was 60% into the book before seeing chapter 3 I believe. Well, I mostly buy my books so even if I didn't like the book during the course of reading it I will finish reading it because then I feel like I wasted by money. I won't read buy/read the next book in the series.
I'm finished

Kim, I loved these books! I'm half way done with the second book. Which did you liked more? I loved Sarah and Roland so much. They have such great chemistry, fun relationship and plenty of hotness

Keep reading. It starts very slow, but it gets a lot better towards the end."
That's why even though I stopped, I didn't give it up. I'll get back to it. I found that M.Brook built the most complex world but so worth getting yourself lost in it.

I'm half way done and loving it so far! I loved the fist book too.

Crazy, I've read the whole series and agree its intense. If you at all liked Demon Angel keep reading because Meljean Brook does refine her writing style as the series goes on and each book gets better and better. I am just waiting for the final book to be written and its going to go off with a bang!
