I never read YA infact if I see a YA tag I usually don't even give it a chance. But the Soul Screamers series I ended up loving it!

I just finished the last book too and I totally agree with you! When he said something about wanting to beat the shit out of her after whatever it was that set him off that time, I was like, WHAT?! Such a weird relationship...I would have never stayed. But it was a good ending I thought and I liked how the characters changed over time. That series definitely got me and my hubby talking about some interesting stuff! HAHA

I just finished No Rest for the Wicked (Immortals After Dark, #3) by Kresley Cole and I am loving this series! Very fun and fast-paced. But I think I will take a break and start Darker After Midnight (Midnight Breed, #10) by Lara Adrian and see what is going on with Harvard! :)

I have liked some YA - others I couldn't make it through the book. I got Soul Screamers on sale from Audible so I figured I'd give it a shot.

Samantha Mullins (hixxup79) still trying to read Nightshade (Nightshade, #1) by Andrea Cremer shay really irritates me, maybe that's why I'm having a hard time getting through it. Also going to read Into The Shadow (Darkness Chosen, #3) by Christina Dodd

Lol you have finished No Rest for the Wicked (Immortals After Dark, #3) by Kresley Cole at same time I did ^^ Did you like it? I have to be honest here, I am finding out the valkyries a bit annoying. This book didn't quite catch me. I couldn't help to realize that I could have liked the hero (Sebastien) soooo much better simply if we had a different heroine.... Looking forward Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night (Immortals After Dark, #4) by Kresley Cole , no valkyries as heroines :) but will make a pause now.
Enjoy!

I love the valkyries, I like there quirkiness and stuff

message 19810: by Sofia (new)

Sofia | 25 comments I though I did too, but I find myself getting a bit tired of this series everytime I finish a book when the heroine is a valkyrie.... I liked Regin's one though, but that was because it was my first of the series. I hope I enjoy Nïx's book a bit better. At least, she has potential.

message 19811: by DemetraP (new)

DemetraP | 379 comments Yeah I find the valkyrie characters in Kresley Cole's series when they are the main character annoying. They are fine as secondary characters for comedic relief but otherwise I am like, grow up already and find some maturity. I still love Nix though. Lol.

message 19812: by Sassy Sarah Reads (new)

Sassy Sarah Reads I finished Rules of Attraction (Perfect Chemistry, #2) by Simone Elkeles at school today and I liked it, but it wasn't as good as Perfect Chemistry (Perfect Chemistry, #1) by Simone Elkeles . I'm going to start The Van Alen Legacy (Blue Bloods, #4) by Melissa de la Cruz (:) I♥ this series, so glad they had the fourth book at the library) and I'm still reading... ugh... Endless Summer (The Boys Next Door & Endless Summer) by Jennifer Echols .

The ending was great. The series is wonderful. It is a definite reread. I finished today and I was very pleased with the ending. It was fun to read but a seriously unhealthy relationship.

message 19815: by Pansy (new)

Pansy | 740 comments After reading the craziness of Fifty Shades Freed (Fifty Shades, #3) by E.L. James , I am indulging in one of my favorite vampire series Darker After Midnight (Midnight Breed, #10) by Lara Adrian . I love Chase. It came out yesterday but I could not put down Fifty until I was done with the series.

message 19824: by Sillylittlefishey (new)

Sillylittlefishey | 1025 comments I finished Ceremony in Death (In Death, #5) by J.D. Robb last night...it was decent although it kind of was annoying that Roarke (as much as I love him) only had one purpose and that was apparently to get laid.

I'm now reading Blood Candy by Matthew Tomasetti ...which I really didn't want to read, but I was asked to read and review it for OBS (the website I volunteer for)since the author contacted them asking for us to review it...it's not as bad as I thought but it's still early...

I just finished Perfect Chemistry, and am waiting for the second book from the library. Thanks for the warning that it wasn't as good. Sometimes it helps going into the sequel without high expectations!

Yeah, I think the last Dark Swan book did not live up to the rest of the series. Richelle Mead left such a delicious cliffhanger at the end of Iron Crowned and then waffled quite a bit in the resolution. All the good stuff happened in the last 5 chapters of the book. Then the clanger at the end. If wonder if Richelle Mead rushed the end as she wanted to finish it before she had her baby. Anyway, the ambiguous ending makes me hope she will pick the series up at a later date when her family commitments lessen.
