Black Dagger goes VERY fast!! And I read the Fever series before I even knew it was a spin-off of Highlander. I decided to try and go back and read Highlander, but I didn't like the 1st book at all and haven't read any of them since.

message 19652: by Sassy Sarah Reads (new)

Sassy Sarah Reads I finished Dark Prince (Carpathians, #1) by Christine Feehan and I'm still reading Endless Summer (The Boys Next Door & Endless Summer) by Jennifer Echols , but I don't know what to read. I think I'll finish Shiver (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #1) by Maggie Stiefvater which I started in May but got distracted with another book and forgot about it.

Anika (teddybear1) | 318 comments Finished Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy, #6) by Richelle Mead ! I can't believe the series is over and I do want to re-read this series again. I wish there was more adventures for Rose and her sexy boyfriend Dimitri.

I have not decided what I'll read next.

You should read the spin off series Bloodlines by Richelle Mead . It's pretty good, not as good as VA, but it is the first book in the series, so there is more time for development.

message 19656: by Christine (new)

Christine | 1127 comments So, I was going to start Deeper Than Midnight (Midnight Breed, #9) by Lara Adrian today, but I picked up The Iron King (Iron Fey, #1) by Julie Kagawa to read the first few pages just to see what it was like ('cause it is due back to the library soon while I own Deeper), and next thing I know I'm 200 pages in. I haven't had the greatest luck with YA series, but I'm really enjoying this one.

I know! I've been waiting to read Hunter's book until it was time for Chase's so I could read them back to back. Fortunately, The Iron King is moving quickly, so I'll be able to start Deeper tomorrow! Which I can finish just in time for Darker. I've had a crush on Chase since book 2!

Delaney Reimers (delaneyakafrog) | 347 comments Finished Blood Warrior (The Alexa Montgomery Saga #1) by H.D. Gordon two days ago, stayed up all night to do it but it wasn't hard since it is a great read. Would definitely recommend it!
Started reading Every Last Kiss (The Bloodstone Saga, #1) by Courtney Cole and got to chapter 4 and then picked up The Gossamer Gate by Wendy L. Callahan last night and couldn't put it down. I'm about 70% through it and hoping to finish it tonight to get back to the other. I got both for free on amazon.

Delaney Reimers (delaneyakafrog) | 347 comments Just finished The Gossamer Gate by Wendy L. Callahan I really enjoyed it, finished it within 24hrs. I got it free off amazon and it was totally worth it. It is from a GR Author and I would say it is worth giving it a try if you like fairies. Wish there was another one to follow it.

Now on to Every Last Kiss (The Bloodstone Saga, #1) by Courtney Cole Hoping to finish it tonight or tomorrow.

I'm really glad to read your and Michelle's comments. I was beginning to think I was the only one who thought this story disturbing. It's going to take a huge HEA to change my mind.

message 19668: by Soo (new)

Soo (silverlyn) I finished Fifty Shades Freed. It's not my favorite book of the trilogy. Too many bits that didn't work for me in this book. I knew it was losing my interest when I kept taking breaks to read random short stories. Still love Christian Grey! He's hot. =)

Going back to my pile:
Flame Within (Bonded Fantasy, #7) by Mima 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami Ambasadora by Heidi Ruby Miller The Last Airbender The Promise Part 1 by Bryan Konietzko Vampire Hunter D Volume 01 by Hideyuki Kikuchi Firelight (Darkest London, #1) by Kristen Callihan On the Edge (The Edge, #1) by Ilona Andrews

I just finished The Iron King this morning, and it is the first YA series I have really liked and really enjoyed. I love the mythology behind it and her creation of the Iron Fey. Looking forward to getting the next one, but today I will finally start Hunter's book!

I am 52% in and I am on the fence. I am enjoying the book very much. I can hardily put it down. I am reluctant to like Mr. Grey. I guess this is what the author is going for. Anantasia is truly getting on my nerves. She has some truly self-esteem issues.

message 19677: by Christine (new)

Christine | 1127 comments @Yvonne, I keep trying to reply to your post about other series with more than 10 books, and it keeps messing up for some reason. So, I'll try a new message and see if that works:

I would recommend Psy/Changelings by Nalini Singh. There are 10 books so far, starting with Slave to Sensation (Psy-Changeling, #1) by Nalini Singh .

There is also Black Dagger Brotherhood by JR Ward, Sentinel Wars by Shannon K. Butcher, and Midnight Breed by Lara Adrian.

Sillylittlefishey | 1025 comments Finished Rapture in Death (In Death, #4) by J.D. Robb ...I didn't find it nearly as exciting as Immortal in Death, but I think my biggest problem was that the storyline seemed a little too far fetched and I didn't "feel" it could happen in real life...even in the future. Continuing my Roarke parade I'm getting ready to start Ceremony in Death (In Death, #5) by J.D. Robb

Julie | 188 comments So even though I have a ton of books in my TBR I just got a bunch more from the library from different authors I've never read. I just feel like I need a little something different because right now trying to follow my TBR list feels to much like forced reading to me and not as enjoyable.

So I picked up The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern The Map of Time by Félix J. Palma Divergent (Divergent, #1) by Veronica Roth Daughter of Smoke and Bone (Daughter of Smoke and Bone, #1) by Laini Taylor The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #1) by Rick Riordan The Sea of Monsters (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #2) by Rick Riordan Down These Strange Streets by George R.R. Martin Glory in Death (In Death, #2) by J.D. Robb Immortal in Death (In Death, #3) by J.D. Robb Rapture in Death (In Death, #4) by J.D. Robb Ceremony in Death (In Death, #5) by J.D. Robb Vengeance in Death (In Death, #6) by J.D. Robb because I'm reading/re-reading my way through the In Death series(love Roarke!)

on to Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night (Immortals After Dark, #4) by Kresley Cole . Poor Bowen. He really has had the crap kicked out of him by life
