I did the same thing. Started it after my kiddos went to bed and then the next thing I knew it was almost morning. I really enjoyed it and loved the humor in it. Or at least I thought it had a good amount of humor in it and spent a good amount of time reading bits to my hubby. He is now reading it for himself on the kindle. I just finished the 2nd and at first I thought oh it's good, not so much humor but about halfway through it picked back up for me. I would like to read the 3rd but have seen that it isn't as good :( But hope you really enjoy it!

Book one did that to me too. I was pretty disturbed after reading it. I read the next one and it made up for all of the things in the first. You should really consider trying it. The second one will leave you in a much better state of mind about Ana & Christian.

Katya | 645 comments I started the first book of the Elemental Mysteries Series by Elizabeth Hunter.

It is really good so far. B or Beatrice lost her father in Italy. (He may be a vampire??????) And is a student helping a professor with his research in the university library special collections. This prof is not normal....He comes out at night, covers his windows...feeds and they don't remember...but no one is saying anything.....he is very mysterious. What is he up to? I haven't read enough yet. But I am enjoying it immensely. BTY-the books are rated very highly.

Outlander is fantastic! I read it first when I was in high school when it came out and it is one of those books you stay up late into the night reading and think about long after its over. Still a favorite! Jamie is hands down one of the best heros ever...Love it! Usually re-read it once a year, although I did read the third one I have never really read the rest of the series, but Outlander will always have a special place in my heart :)

Have you read her other series, The Guild Hunters? It's great too, if a bit darker. Hawke is awesome, but I still love my Judd.

I just finished At Grave's End (Night Huntress, #3) by Jeaniene Frost . And I know my rating isn't going to be popular, but I gave it a 3 star (since I can't do 3.5). I don't know what it was, but Bones lost his luster a little bit in this story (versus the first 2 which were awesome!). And the storyline made it easy for me to put down. I'm looking forward to the next books which I'm told picks things back up, but in the meantime I'm taking a break. Just started Wild for You by Sophia Knightly and so far, it's a page turner. :)

Interesting. I actually thought book three was the last of the really good ones. Cat drove me crazy in book 4 and I thought book 5 was kind of dull (or at least there was a lot of build up for a far less than spectacular final show down). Book six was better than 4 and 5, but still just not the same as the first two or three (for me anyway). I'll be curious to see what you think when you go back to the series.
