What are you reading right now?

Started last night, I must say so far I'm not liking the leading male in this book so far, but as the story goes that could change.

OMG I forgot Lothaire comes out on the 10th. WOOHOO!!!

Delaney, I just started this book last night at bedtime. At first I thought the writing was over the top, and then somehow I stayed up til 1 am reading it. Paying for ..."
I did the same thing. Started it after my kiddos went to bed and then the next thing I knew it was almost morning. I really enjoyed it and loved the humor in it. Or at least I thought it had a good amount of humor in it and spent a good amount of time reading bits to my hubby. He is now reading it for himself on the kindle. I just finished the 2nd and at first I thought oh it's good, not so much humor but about halfway through it picked back up for me. I would like to read the 3rd but have seen that it isn't as good :( But hope you really enjoy it!

Wow! I really don't know what to think of this book. I don't know yet if I'll be reading the next one. The story is intense and awkward and ..."
Book one did that to me too. I was pretty disturbed after reading it. I read the next one and it made up for all of the things in the first. You should really consider trying it. The second one will leave you in a much better state of mind about Ana & Christian.

So far I'm liking it. It has to be the funniest series I've read. My husband looks at me like I'm crazy for laughing out loud while I'm reading!

I read up to 200 pages in dark swan and just couldn't continue. I know the first books in each richelle mead series aren't that great ..."
i read up the first two, and they were enjoyable but the third killed it for me. i probably wont continue reading that series. So if you have hard time getting through the first book, i wouldn't keep going. it not worth it in my opinion.

Thanks for the tip Aimie

I have been wanting to check out Once Bitten since I enjoyed Grave Witch by Price.

I also have some issues with this series... even though I sorta understand why Christian acts like he does it does mean some uncomfortable reading IMHO... he's way beyond the bad boy hero. I will read the finale though just to see how it all works out.

Allison did you read the first Lisa Sanchez book? I loved that series so far and can't wait for the third book!

It is really good so far. B or Beatrice lost her father in Italy. (He may be a vampire??????) And is a student helping a professor with his research in the university library special collections. This prof is not normal....He comes out at night, covers his windows...feeds and they don't remember...but no one is saying anything.....he is very mysterious. What is he up to? I haven't read enough yet. But I am enjoying it immensely. BTY-the books are rated very highly.

Outlander is fantastic! I read it first when I was in high school when it came out and it is one of those books you stay up late into the night reading and think about long after its over. Still a favorite! Jamie is hands down one of the best heros ever...Love it! Usually re-read it once a year, although I did read the third one I have never really read the rest of the series, but Outlander will always have a special place in my heart :)

It has been so much fun reading this series. Now I have to figure out what to read next.

But now I have no idea what to read next. Anyone have any suggestions?"
Power Of The Moon, Bound By Blood, Connected, Working Stiff...

Hawke is breathtaking. He is the definition of alpha.

You are so spot on. I love Hawke. He is my favorite male out of the whole series. *Sigh.Swoon*

Thanks Sheree, I'll look those up. :)

I loved the TV series & the book, I've not read the others in the series yet though

Have you read her other series, The Guild Hunters? It's great too, if a bit darker. Hawke is awesome, but I still love my Judd.
Or how about Night Huntress by Jeaniene Frost or Sentinel Wars by Shannon K. Butcher?

that is what I have been hearing from everyone. I don't know why I haven't read it b4 now... maybe it was the size of the book that threw me off. I just started part two (Leoch Castle I think it's called). It's getting better and better as I go!!

All good selections!

The fourth is my favorite of the series. You'll love it for sure.

There's a Dexter book?? I didn't know that!

I just finished
. And I know my rating isn't going to be popular, but I gave it a 3 star (since I can't do 3.5). I don't know what it was, but Bones lost his luster a little bit in this story (versus the first 2 which were awesome!). And the storyline made it easy for me to put down. I'm looking forward to the next books which I'm told picks things back up, but in the meantime I'm taking a break. Just started
and so far, it's a page turner. :)

There's a series of Dexter books!

I love the soul screamers series and I usually hate anything that's YA.

Is it the exact same cases/scenarios as in the series. Or an offshoot? (*finger crossed* it's an offshoot) ;)

Next maybe

Interesting. I actually thought book three was the last of the really good ones. Cat drove me crazy in book 4 and I thought book 5 was kind of dull (or at least there was a lot of build up for a far less than spectacular final show down). Book six was better than 4 and 5, but still just not the same as the first two or three (for me anyway). I'll be curious to see what you think when you go back to the series.

I'll definitely let you know. I'm curious now since you seem to have the opposite opinion of what others have told me. Wonder what side I'll land on...

I am so happy for you. I loved this book. It was a five star for me. You make me want to do a reread. This is a long series. You made it.
