What are you reading right now?

Now I'm reading a free ebook that is not paranormal

I got through Blue Moon ok, but I couldn't even finish the third book in the series. I read about the first third of the book, and then skimmed the chapters to the end...

Unholy Magic is soooooo good. Can't wait until March when the next book comes out.

Mencheres' book is starting off really well too. after reading First Drop of Crimson i want to see who Ian ends up with as well. i was actually surprised to see he has a (view spoiler) . and the love scenes were absolutely great in Spades book. i can't wait to see how Frost does Mencheres' since he's been celibate *wink wink*.["br"]>

ok, send me a message & tell me your theory PLEASE!!!!????

oh wow, thanx Lisa, I will try that this week I think

On my way!!
On my way!!

He's such a slut but I love Ian.

Spade left me breathless too. He is quite charming.

So addicting."

So far I am loving Lover Eternal.. I got 130 pages into it last night. I really like Rhage/Mary so far but I'm afraid to see what they do with her cancer! :(

On my way!!"
I'm interested in your theory too. :)

I am currently reading Catching Fire in The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins. It really is a good book. Needless to say I am a huge fan of the books now

I loved Kalayna Price'..."
I love Alex Craft so I tried Haven. I agree the begining was kind of weird but it ended up being a pretty good book. I'm reading the next one in the series next month. You ought to try it again. The cat part isn't a major role in the story at all.

I think that's a good idea Taylor.

I love..."
Okay so maybe I will give it another try sometime soon. Thanks! :)

he is though, huh. at first Ian got on my nerves, but now i like him too. i'd be sad if he weren't in the series =)

no need to worry Cassandra. i think u'll like what happens concerning Mary.

Ian annoyed me too at first. Now I can't see the series without him! I know lots of people don't care for Mencheres but I liked him from day one! Can't wait for Once Burned to come out!

Mencheres *sigh* He creeped me out in the first few books because he was just SO powerful, plus for some reason I always pictured him older. But I loved him in his book. I actually liked his book a lot more than Spades (Denise really got on my nerves)

Glad I read this series but the ending didn't sit well with me. I get why she wrote it that way but wanted the big happy kid reunion I guess! :)
Don't know what to start next!

Have you read anything by Nalini Singh? I highly recommend both of her series.

awww Christine, u didn't like Denise =( what didn't u like about her?
i also had the impression Mencheres looked older. i love his description. sounds really exotic *wink*.
@Jenne: Mencheres didn't really appeal to me in the first couple of books. i didn't really start to like him until he (view spoiler) . his character i think was shown more to me after those incidents. and now reading his book and his developing relationship with Kira is really fun. i feel more for him now considering his situation.

I always liked Mencheres...I guess I am just drawn to 'power'! I think it is more I thought Cat was a little melodramatic in regards to him. I love Ian too. I think he reminds me of Eric from the Sookie Stackhouse books.

I feel the same way too! I really REALLY like the series as well but I think the author tries so hard to make the characters dark, tormented, and hardcore that it just backfires sometimes.

Some of the characters are carried over to the Lords of Deliverance Series

It wasn't that I didn't like Denise, so much as she just got on my nerves at times. It's been probably close to two years since I read that book, so I can't remember many details. Just that she seemed more whiny and needy than I had expected. And she was really hard on Spade with her anti-vamp feelings for a while. And towards the end, they both ticked me off because rather than actually talk to each other about how we feel and why we feel that way, they both had their heads up their...I mean, they each made assumptions about the others behavior and attitudes rather than talking about it like intelligent adults. But I did like the book. Honest. Just not as much as Mencheres' book.
But I LOVED that shower scene!!

I loved Kalayna Price'..."
Thanks Saralyn, I like the possible trianglge between her maker Nataniel and ex Bobby plus it was interesting enough to see what other things they could get into.

I love..."
Thanks, I plan to read the next book which I have already brought.

I love the way you explain yourself. Too funny. Denise got on my nerves too, but Spade was incredible.

I'm reading Switched too. I got it at my bookstore a couple of days ago. They released earlier than supposed to but I don't care cuz I got the book. :)

That being said, I've loved everything else she's ever written - including the first three in this series, so I will keep reading her books.
Now I just need to find something new to read - maybe a new series. I feel like I've read everything, and I need a better way to stay up to date on when new releases come out on series I've already read. Any suggestions from the group?

What I tell everyone to read: Nalini Singh. She has two great series. First books are:

I forgot two other favorites. The Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs

and Kate Daniels by Ilona Andrews

Heidi, I felt that way too when I read Bluemoon. I liked Evermore - reminded me a lot of Twilight, although not quite as good in my opinion but I was pretty disappointed in the second book and didn't bother to read the rest of the series after that. "
I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one that was disappointed with
